They don’t have to of played for the club but as long as they were born in Leeds that’s alright. Just remember that we have a mix of both young and old (no offence) supporters here. In other words the younger supporters might say players from more recent years rather than players from the (McLaren_Field, G1) 1930s.

We are attempting to decipher which players are from Leeds. The postcode is a reasonable way of achieving this goal.

The club closest to the place where you were born followed by the club closest to where you first lived. Duration criteria can also be considered.

My 2nd club is Castleford for example but my qualification to support Leeds RLFC is undoubted.

There will always be grey areas. At one point Drighlington was Leeds Telephone Code, Bradford Post Code and Leeds City Council or some such conundrum.

I maintain the postcode is a reasonable means of determining who is allowed to play for this Leeds side.

What determines where a player is from?

Birthplace may well be Jimmys or LGi even if they lived and were brought up in a Bradford postcode.

one mans pudsey is another mans bradford, so where they lived /grew up /went to school
