Just suppose Leeds were to lose at Salford next week (they've beaten Leeds at Headingley and Saints at the Willows this season) and St Helens were to go into their game with Les Catalans knowing the margin they would need to win by.

The integrity of the RFL diminishes still further.

Same situation in reverse last season with the Wakefield - Leeds match moved forward to the Friday night and rightly so.

Last night @ the end of the game Eddie advertised Salford vs Leeds to be shown live on TV on Friday.

Just now i watched Sky Sports News and they were advertising Hull Fc vs Bradford to be shown as the Friday game.

I'm comfortable with the way it's done in Super League and I'm sure the revenue generated doesn't go amiss either.

I don't see what the fuss is about. Saints aren't in the form to score any more than 40 against Catalans. Which would leave Leeds needing to lose by what 35 against Salford? Neither are going to happen.

Sky show 2 matches a round. If all the games got played at the same time, I doubt Sky logistically could show 2 games at the same time - taking into account they'd need 2 of the 4 channels free plus would have to have 2 broadcasting crews and commentary teams.

Can see where your coming from, but the RFL set a precedent last year by moving our game at Wakefield from the Sunday to the Friday...so it should be the same this year IMO, with the two sides going for the hubcap playing at the same time.

Interesting though, that the RFL arent insisting that Warrington move their game with Quins to the Friday, which would mean the 4 clubs going for 8th would be all playing at the same time



Should Bradford lose (and Catalans too, which is obviously quite likely), Warrington and Quins will know exactly what they have to do to get in the 8 come Sunday.
