does anyone know what is happening to the south stand?

is there any rennovation planned in the offseason to get it back up to full capacity?

i think a lot of people would be very annoyed if it was all seater!

with the lack of talk about big money signings recently i thought they may be saving cash for a new stand

The Southstand will be standing at the bottom and seating at the top, the seating at the top will be 3 rows high, with the seating being based on just for Corperate, 21 seats per box, box consisting in 3 rows of 7. Standing will be extended abit higher than the standing is at now. Dont know the exact amount of boxes there will be.

When was the last time that a club made a "big money" signing? Apart from possibly Gareth Ellis (and even then, no actual cash changed hands), every player we've brought in over the past few years has been out of contract.

i meant big money as in wages (i.e burderus i bet he is on a packet)

money saved on wages to put towards new stand

I think the western terrace is in more need of a new stand when its stones your in danger of slipping over rather than bottle tops.

Not allowed to do anything with it, due to the houses behind the stand, as it would block sunlight.

Leeds own those houses.

Thats a ridiculous reason though, I bet those people don't sunbathe in their dining rooms right now, and how can a building block your light, the sun is a zillion feet higher than the stand would be and it'll shine over the top of anything that you build there.

If you simply stick a roof on the existing structure at a level just above the scoreboard, then you're right.

I would suspect any development would involve a rebuild in an attempt to make more room however.

Personally I don't think it needs doing, theres nothign wrong with making visitors to our city stand in the rain while we taunt them, its fair game.

Although of course on the occasions that I can scrounge a freebie it is invariably on the WT.

It's true. The new West Terrace will actually just be the east wing of the new Buderus Estate.
Its in his contract. He wouldn't have signed otherwise. I know because I'm in the know but Im not going to tell you how I know.

The only thing that blocks sunlight at Headingley Is Greg Eastwoods massive rhinos top that gets showcased before kick off. You seen it? Its massive!



Its not a roof that needs a erecting it’s a whole new stand. I’ve took pebbles from that stand to put in the back garden. Just think how many of us are doing that?

Its only time before that stand collapses. I’m surprise it didn’t during the Celtic Crusaders game.
