Why is it a mistake to turn down anything offered by Salford?

Rumoured to be Briers replacement at Warrington and a club not afraid to match their ambitions with cash.

Becuase i thought he would be loyal to a club that brought him up.

In the same way Leeds did in the 80's and 90's?

Let's face it Tony Smith or Sean McRae who would you want to be coached by?

Can't blame him but it's not good for superleague imo. Salford could have built a team around him, there's no threat of relegation and it keeps the spread of talent accross the board.

But like i say, i can't blame the lad, just hope his 'agent' Offiah is thinking of the player's interests not just the money, as i hope it doesn't go to his head all this silly hype after one game against a dreadful International side. Interestingley Mcrae seems to think all the silly hype has got to him and he's been really flat and distracted since the International.

A shame for Salford if they cant hold on to him for sure.

They may well have the room under the cap,but can they afford it financially,they are not exactly well supported fan wise.Also if he was paid some excessive amount can't imagine it would be good for team morale

We "allegedly" pay Danny Buderus an "excessive" ammount of money and he hasnt damaged team morale.

would suspect that there isnt a massive difference in amount of wages that would get under improved offer as salford as opposed to sts/wire. however theres also the small matter of the transfer fee which the agent giving him advice will get a percentage of. offiah makes more money of myler moving for big money, plus all the publicity he gets for his agency. Pretty obvious advice offiah will be giving the kid imo.

When is he out of contract? Saints will have a Sean Long shaped hole which he could fill next year

Diskin was outstanding early in the season and was really gaining momentum, unfortunatley Danny B has started to recapture his form and fitness and is now challenging Disko and frankly is giving him a pasting in all departments.
