Its nice to have some depth, but I don't think we struggle for numbers at centre. Just having someone ready to claim the spot for their own. THis doesn't change anything IMO

He can also play full-back or on the wing.

Think of a young Nathan McAvoy when he first started out, very much in the same mould IMO - tall, deceptively strong. Be interesting to see how he adapts to full time training.

will we though? he only signed a 1 year contract at Donny. Then again we will have had to ask for permission to speak to him early so maybe a small sweetner for Donny was offered

He's under 23, so a compensation fee would apply I'm sure

If you read the article he's signed for three and a half years so he's our player now but he's been loaned back to Donny.

Seems like a sensible deal all round. He'll no doubt start full rime training with us whilst still playing with Donny.

I therefore doubt there will be a fee involved as he will really be available to us from next year when he could've done for free anyway but by then he will have plenty of full time training under his belt.

He was not developed by them. I thought it was only applicable if the player had come through your own system?

He only signed for them this year on a one year deal. And even thats worthless, as we have seen with everyone jumping ship from Donny, with no fees payable, as Donny cant afford the wages.

I think it is just a case of Leeds think it better that he continues with his development down there for now. And he probably has his studies working around that.

I can't say I'm aware of him bar that recent Doncaster V Halifax mis-match recently which I only half watched at best.

Appears a similar punt to the one Hull took with Richard Whiting and he's made a reasonable go of it.
