Don't know if you are aware, and I know its ages off yet, but Wigan have reduced prices to just £10 (£5 for kids and oaps) for the clash at JJB Stadium on 24th July. This offer extends to Leeds supporters as the club aim to beat our record JJB crowd v Leeds which was 17,281 for the 2006 clash which was our home opener.

That record I expect will be achieved easily with a crowd of 13,000+ already guaranteed from early sales at Wigan. The club are agressively marketing the game so it should be a good night. Hopefully you lot will pack your end full and we can get a crowd well over 20,000.

& you lot think we should bring 20 million fans because ticket prices are down & we never bring any fans?

Last years Rhinos attendance at JJB wasnt that good from what I recall.
However, I feel that we will probably take alot more fans than usuall with these prices... heck, we might even fill the stand..

The ticket price isn't the only cost of an away day though. Travel costs is what puts a lot of people off, especially since it might well be on Sky.

I fondly remember the gate entrance at Central Park being a quid cheaper (15%) than Headingley in the 1990's to watch Wigan's all conquering side. If anything it should have been a quid more than given the side on the field and the trophies in the cabinet.

Perhaps if they'd charged the going rate they might have kept hold of the grand old ground?

There were plenty of reasons why Central Park eventually went. The sheer stupidity of the board on budgeting the club on the assumption we'd continue on with annual trips to Wembley was a big factor.

Usually is around about £14 for us over to Wigan, so if its cheaper than usual I dont think fans will complain at all.

I was just thinking, if Wigan & Leeds each paid 1/2 the cost of the coaches for Leeds fans to go over, and offered the travel at 1/2 the usual price to the fans wouldn't this be good for both? Leeds would get the income from the coach travel and Wigan get their money back through extra ticket sales and food and drink consumption within the ground?

I hope there will be a huge crowd on for this game, last years game early in the season was awesome with only around 15,000 on so will be even better with a huge crowd on. Hopefully you will bring a big away following, last years was a little disapointing, I cant see you filling the away end though.
