| Now we are hitting form and getting players back quickly, hopefully the injuries to Senior and Kirke aint bad and will play next week. When's Donald due back? I think that Ali will be fine having missed the game against Hull today. Going by if Senior and Kirke are fine, could be hard to pick a squad for the game.
1. Webb
28. Smith
3. Delaney
4. Senior
5. Hall
6. McGuire
7. Burrow
8. Leuluai
9. Buderus
10. Peacock
11. Jones Buchanan
18. Ablett
13. Sinfield
12. Lauitiiti
14. Diskin
16. Bailey
17. Kirke
18. Burgess
26. Bush
The bench this week is going to be a hard one to choose, with Diskin already taking up one spot on the bench, Ali will be fresh from having the week off, Bailey playing well in the past few games, Kirke will get the spot IMO over Burgess, with his performance today.

| Perfect opposition on Saturday. We've seen the side come on leaps and bounds over the last month and Saints will be a good test to see we're at.

| Agreed. I think we should go ok. Think we seem to be gelling more. More of the passes are sticking now rather than going to ground

The 1st half especially was a 'when it matters, play-off standard' performance from Leeds.
Only two penalties conceded (Bailey(?) and Peacock) and one 'dubious call' for a forward pass from Jones-Buchanan. Anything else? It was a quality half. I'm glad Leeds are not 'up for the cup' this year.

| Good in attack but again, we are still loosing concentration and leaking tries. Against St Helens we cannot afford to let soft tries in as undoubtedly we will score fewer tries.

Agreed, Hull are ok but nothing to shout about, Saints on the other hand is a true test of where we are at right now.

| Just got in....I'll be there at KR. Fantastic. Burrow and Kirke you proved the doubters (inc me) wrong....Ablett outstanding. Sinfield an inspiration and a great leader. A real all round team effort.....BUT PLEASE most of all HOW CAN ANYONE doubt the class and distribution of Buderus over Diskin ???
Diskin is not a bad player and wouldn't ideally want to lose him (although McShane is ready to fill his boots), but Buderus deserves a run for the full 80 mins. Surely we can all agree that now
Bring it on Saints

Gosh you have to be so careful and precise on here so as not to provoke responses like this (Written word not the best medium)
I simply meant I am happy that these particular guys made me and others eat my/our words in this particular match.....and if they continue on in the same vein nobody will be happier than me.
Am going to bed a happy man. I have a great wife a great job and my step son is now a converted union fan. If you want to have a dig at me.....feel free. Couldn't really care less. Lol.

Tansey try was a fluke and they scored twice IIRC certainly once when we were down a man.
10/12 maybe 16/18 points gifted there then

Not sure I agree with that.
I had dissagreement with rhinoms last week, where I felt the defence was poor all game last week and rhinoms thought it was just 20 minutes.
But this week I thought we defended much better than the score suggested. Hull were gifted at least two tries by Silverwood, and aided with the others.
Interesting how our knock on in build up to one try is highlighted by the hull fans, but they completely miss the point that the Tansey try from Ablett's error actually came from a mile forward pass into Ablett's hands.

I think the defence looks wobbly still. You're quite right that the pass that Ablett fumbled to Tansey was forward but what worries me more was the ease with which they broke down our right before that. They did it a lot in the 1st half.
Also, despite his tries, Hall was poor in defence. He did a "Smith" and came in when the interior defenders were sliding out, twice. He may not have stopped the tries but it's a bad habit and it's worryingly being displayed regularly by our wingmen.

I would say our defense overall was improved from last week, no arguments there. But again in the last 15/10 mins we started leaking points that Hull had really no right to have. That must be about 30 points in two weeks that we have conceded in certainly no longer than the last 15 minutes of the match. Had we not taken a very big lead, which I very much doubt we will at Saints, we could end up losing the game because of this slack end to the match.

| As a neutral I'm really looking forward to this one it should be a cracker, I'm just hoping it'll be dry so we can see some nice open rugby from both sides.
Plus hopefully you can beat Saints and give us (Wigan) a little more breathing space at the top.

When we were down to 12 and after a few repeat sets!
had the score been tighter I have every faith our defence would have been tougher.

And in a cup game, so no points difference as a factor, the game was won, Hull did not have anything to lose and we had 12 men for 10 of those 15 mins. Not saying the defence was perfect but I also think this needs to be put in perspective. Great win and best performance of the year so far... I agree with tvoc as well, we looked back at the top of our game for periods.
