When AP says the NRL is superior you argue its not so why now get so giddy that an ex player has played 10 minutes in a supposedly inferior competition.

Not my words. The words of those people on these very boards who froth incessantly whenever AP decalres the ESL is a poor mans NRL.

SL has always been a poor man's NRL. Never been a question about that.

It is still capable of producing decent entertainment though and the difference is only really relevant when it comes to the international stage.

The actual quality of the NRL, especially this year from what I've seen is world's apart from Super League, which IMO has been shocking so far this season, however SL is equally if not more entertaining than the NRL as sometimes is the National Leagues.

made a few tackles, didn't see the ball in attack (roosters only have 1 n half sets tho whilst he was on)

guess roosters where hoping for a better game, so that he could come on whilst they were winning comfortably. shows he's not far making the team at least, in a competition "thousands times better"

The NRl obviously isn't 'thousands of times' better than SL - else how would you explain the likes of Sibbitt, Thorman, Mathers and now Tansey even getting a game? It is better, but not by as much as some would like everyone to believe.

right, you've named four 'average' sl players who have played in the NRL. now do the reverse I.e name all the average nrl players who have played in England in the same period!

There have been hundreds of average SL players who have played in the NRL, both before and after their SL stint.
