| Makes sense really with Handley's form and providing Sutcliffe isn't out for any longer than just this week with his injury setback then unlikely to get a game at centre anytime soon and backrow we have plenty fit now. Given Widnes' injuries then he going to be playing.

| social media in meltdown over this, some claiming he is one of our best players and demanding he plays, and claiming the club is a joke.
ridiculous Handley deserves his place, we all know Sutcliffe is next in line, can only be good for jimmy to show some form and stake a place.

| I rate Jimmy but Handley isn’t going to be dropped on current form and he’s behind Sutcliffe. Keinhorst can go to Widnes, have a few stormers and then come back match ready, reclaiming his place in the Rhinos team. We have some really strong competition for places at centre now.

Quite funny reading some of the comments. Some claiming how can we do it when we have an injury crisis....erm only in the props and that's easing this week.
Plenty saying it should be Sutcliffe going on loan instead. I personally would have Keinhorst ahead of Sutcliffe but it's close and both are behind Hamdley ATM and Sutcliffe is obviously back HB at the moment.

yep agree, even walters is playing well so why drop him, its the nature of the beast. we have the strongest depth of squad for a number of years and the fact that former (and some still say) golden boy sutcliffe cant get a game, just shows what depth we have. people always complained that Mcdermott only has his favorites and does not pick players on form, now he is picking players on form and still some are moaning.

| Walker is still injured & there's no specific time frame with sutcliffe.
Delaney & Ward are injury prone Ferres is just Ferres & Jjb/Ablett will need rotating soon.
So say for example we lose a winger either current centre ,Golding or one of the 30+ Backrowers we look short again.
There's no recall during the 1st month either so imo its too early to be loaning him especially when you look at our upcoming games.

| JK is a solid squad player who I can't remember ever letting us down. He is the sort of dependable player that all teams need in a salary capped sport. I hope he stays with the Rhinos but if he or the club decide it's time for him to move on then I'd wish him all the very best. Hopefully if we're thinning the herd, there are several ahead of him.

| In terms of this loan deal, being four week loan deal, he won’t play until 27th April v Wigan & then 4th May v Huddersfield, that’s the four weeks up.

| Seems like a good deal for the short term - far better playing at Widnes than in the Championship. Longer term it will depend on whether he can cement a regular spot in the 17 or not. If not I've no problems with a player his age seeking to move elsewhere. I really like him as a player, he looks to have a really good read of the game. His problem is physically he's somewhere between a centre and a second row - that will always stop him reaching the very highest level.
As an aside, how good is it that Handley is starting to look like he could become a quality centre. He still has work to do, and I'd personally like to see him bulk up a bit, but it looks very promising.

| Genuinely feel like this year we have more strength in depth than for a long long time. Also the 2016 season seems to have taught the squad an invaluable lesson. These amounts of injuries in 2016 saw us at the bottom of super league. In a squad that you really felt could only win with its first 19 players available. This season we’re playing the likes of Handley, Walters, oledski, smith, golding and they’re excelling, even beating the league leaders and keeping us right in the mix for the end of the year.
It’s brilliant the competition for left centre. Jimmy is a favourite of mine and i have always felt he’s been unfortunate with injuries and selection. Every time his chance seems to come he gets an injury. The loan deal is aparently nothing other than game time, of which I don’t mind. But I’d hate to see him go for good. I’ve akways said jimmy to centre, suttclife to loose. But it’s excelent to be throwing Handley in there now who (if I’m honest) I’d sort of written off.

| We also have Newman who I rate highly as a back up centre if needed.
Whilst not the finished article he is showing some promise albeit in a lower league.

| Theres a lot of gnashing going on over this move on social media.
IMO opinion I personally think its a great move for all parties, he IS going to play, Widnes are riddled with injuries they cant afford to not have him play and I think he'll be ripping it up over there to prove a point.
I'd rather have him playing in the SL than out on loan in the Championship or lower.
He's a smart lad and im sure he still has an important part to play in this seasons games.
Just hope he's not afflicted with the Widnes injury hoodoo.

| Excellent move for us and widnes, he keeps match fit, plus gains experience with betts who seems a decent coach. Definitely want him back after a month. Although by then some of the players he is in contention with ,may have secured a permanent position in the team.

| If you're talking about Hall, maybe because he's on a pretty good wage and doesn't particularly want or need to move on? Not everyone is motivated entirely by money (in which case he could have run to RU years ago) or that great sporting cliche, the 'new challenge'.
Nice to see him playing well for England, putting to lie the idea that he's past it - last year and this he has looked really good for England. For some strange reason Hall doesn't score as often for Leeds. Wonder why that is?
