Thank you. The Aston appears to be garaged for the winter, so take whatever locomotion you can get.

Saints 15 missed tackles were because Michael Menninga ([size=50copywright G1[/size) Shenton went off.

| Got the Saints stats for comparison?
Peacock's are fantastic but Sinfield's seem very poor for him. 14 tackles and 10 carries?

| Thought Sinfield had a decent game, he's not gunner make loads of carries or tackles playing at 6. Plus if Peacock is getting those stats just give the ball to him, immense!

I guess it just goes to show that you shouldn't judge everything by stats. Stats have become a bit of an obsession on this board recently. What they don't tell you is how many times he turned the full back or wingers with kicks, or the impact of his pep talk to the players behind the posts, or how good his off the cuff pass to Webb was before Ablett's try. Any number of things. Burrow made 3 tackles and 7 carries, but got man of the match. It's what you do with them that counts.

| Without reviewing the footage if the choice is between Hall, Peacock, Jones-Buchanan and Clarkson it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out.
Excellent footwork by Shenton leaving Hall no chance and barely laying a finger on him.
Interesting that considering Burrow didn't miss a tackle (according to the stats as published here) he missed Gaskell before the Saints stand-off put the centre over.
__________
Incidentally the penalty count against Leeds is also wrong judging by that (should be 7 not 6) but what can you do.
It's only the fecking Grand Final. You'd think Opta (assuming it's them) had their most promising YTS on the job.
The one that has gone missing appears to be against Sinfield after he kicked the re-start long allowing Foster to send St Helens 16-8 in front from the resulting penalty on halfway.

| Great stats by Buderus and Peacock. Shows how pumped for the game they were. It also shows how Peacock can up his game for the big one, a born winner.

| Three tackles by Burrow. No coincidence that his refound sharpness coincides with a diminished defensive workload.

| Awesome stats from Peacock, but you can see why we won. Not sure I can remember a game where we had so many players making 100+ meters with the ball. They did highlight on the TV how leeds were making much more meters per set than Saints
4 missed tackles is also so impressive.

I would imagine about 12 of them would be, with a fight on between Meli, Soliola and Moore as to who scored the most, with the residue going to Puletua who was having a snooze throughout the match.

Moore was down as missing 3 tackles, Wilkin and Roby 2 each, and nobody else more than 1.
Puletua missed 1 tackle, made 19, and gained 150 yards from 19 drives. Some snooze.

Burrow fell off Gaskell before he offloaded. Ablett was still hanging on to him though. So does those 2 attempted tackles not count towards the stats?

| Up to about the 70th minute Kirke had made 1 drive.
Game changer that lad. Big effort in the last ten when the game was in the balance..............

There was a quote from Kirke in League Express:
"All I do is give JP a bit of a break. He's a machine. If I can give him a bit of respite so he can go back on and do what he does best, I've played my part".

Sums him up and is a fairly honest appraisal of what he sees as his role.
Surely though, it's not beyond the realms of a professional RL player to actually do something whilst on the pitch giving JP a breather.
This for me sums up what is lacking in Kirke. That he sees that as his role and that he is content with it.
Sad really.

| I can't remember the exact wording of the rest of the quote but he still seems unsettled at having to play as a prop. To be honest he'd do a lot better to embrace the role and put his all into it.
