just looking on the leeds website and i c we have got a new ref on sunday called richard hicks now my question is,do the RFL go to the clubs and ask permission to put him in place or would they just have put him in charge....plus do u have any views on it....

He's called Robert Hicks I think mate, he's reffed a few York games this year and he's pretty good (by that I mean you don't even notice he's there).

He's a fully licensed RFL referee so they can give him any game they like.

I think it’s a good step up for the lad, didn’t really notice him at the Blackpool game, which is a good thing I suppose.

We’ll just have to see how he gets on but remember folks it’ll be his first SL game and the speed of play is massively different to the Championship so don’t expect him to be ‘spot-on’ all the time.

I remember him disallowing a brilliant try for Ryan Hall for a ludicrous forward pass decision just before half time!
