O'Connor / Sinfield 15. Holroyd 16. Lisone 17. Gannon Cooper Jenkins to miss out with Ethan Clark-Wood given an extra week in camp. I suspect if both O'Connor and Sinfield are not fit to play that Edgell comes in on the bench as back cover.

I don't believe we signed Jenkins to be 18th man.

I'd start Gannon in place of Bentley who doesn't seem to have featured much in preseason, perhaps he's carrying a knock? Then I'd put Jenkins on the bench. If we start and play with the intensity I expect, we should go well here.

Pretty much as Emagdnim has it i think except I reckon Bentley starts with gannon bench. Is O'connor confirmed fit? Could be sinfield added to bench if not. I'm intrigued by jack at hooker I confess.

Hope so. If not I'd put in lisone and try beat them up in the middle. I like Gannons skills more early game with a work horse to come on when other team bring on their bigger players

It is my preference for Gannon to start but was of the view that Bentley would get the nod. Not sure if Bentley has a niggle, hence why he hasn't featured much. I've not seen much of Jenkins but it is a shoot out between him and Lisone, unless they select both and use neither O'Connor or Sinfield. There was rumour that O'Connor would be fit but this has yet to be confirmed and even if he was, would BA throw him straight in when Sinfield has filled in well. Guess he will do so, if Sinfield isn't fully fit.

I’m expecting a tough game , Wakey defended well on Boxing Day, think will be a fairly low scoring match

Time for action all the usual pre season bull talk ends today. We have heard it all before for last 7-8 years, let’s see if it’s for real this season. . Whilst I don’t think the first game of the season defines the season. I really think this one might, we need to win and set a statement out. Wakey are better prepared than any promoted side for some time, but we still should be 2-3 scores better than them. 28-12 win

Looking forward to seeing more of what Brad's brought, beyond a pre season beasting. We've heard all about accountability before. Hopefully the boys really nail it this year.

I do like the fact he wants some early wins to take table pressure off and also make winning games at Headingley an absolute priority.

Hopefully we see something a bit different tactically this season, like the return of the short kick-off, and wins built on a 'passive' style of defence and long-range miracle tries. There are some 'dudes' in the team that should really excite the crowd!
