| McDonnell, Olpherts and Sezer return to the 21 man squad.
Walters, Tindall and Johnson remain in the 21 but no Sinfield.

There must be Wigan fans saying the same after last week's turnaround

| I'd happily take a first half again with a great second half to secure the win, just to see the meltdown on here again.

One of the joys of going to games is that I get too involved in it all to check what's being posted and only get to see the meltdowns after the fact. CC games against the pies have been great over the years. My personal fave is the 99 game where McDermott got sent off but we still played them off the park. Is anybody going tomorrow?

| I've watched the full 80 Wigan v Leeds - I've read a fair few comments on here - am I being daft saying that Rhyse Martin seems to be doing a blimmin' good job in the centres? Looked pretty darned effective to me.

I agree completely. I think not having to tackle as much out on the edges has saved him alot of energy.
As an aside, I think McDonnell has been very good. You can tell he came through the Wigan academy. His defence and positioning have been on point. He's also chipped in with a couple of trys from good running lines. Of the Ablett mold, consistent and dependable.

Rhyse has had some good moments at centre, and is currently our top try scorer. However, he has made some shocking errors and I think he is top (or bottom) of the table for the entire league by that measure. I'd rather see him in the second row but first we'd need to find or settle on a regular left centre.

| Thought Halifax played well tonight and were unlucky with some of the calls going against them.
Walmsley for Halifax always looks good when I`ve seen him play.
Oh and Knowles getting sent off should surely means he misses the game against us next week.

Knowles will get a 4 game ban overturned on appeal before the Leeds game.
Has Lees ban been overturned yet?

| Knowles should get a 3 game ban, minimum. It's the only way he will learn. He will seriously hurt someone else if he doesn't change his technique.
On a separate note, is there any news on Lomax's HIA result? I hope he is uninjured, but a couple of weeks of precautionary rest would be nice.

| Just seen a graphic that since that grand final ban got overturned, he’s played around 13 games, with 8 matches and this latest red card spread throughout that time. His longest run of games since then has been 6.
If I were a saints fan I’d be concerned. The old saying ‘availability is an ability’ rings true here.

| just watched it on YouTube.
absolute shocker. the guy really is a piece of work.
I would expect, with his record, at least 4 games.
makes saints pathetic efforts to make him available for last season's grand final very shallow.

Not a bad shout that with the Ablett comparison - Ablett was a bit more physical in his prime. He was actually one of my favourite players ultra consistent.

I think McDonnell could be a great player I'd like to see him get more running chances on the edge if he can match Abletts service to the club he'll have been an inspired signing.
