So after that performance against Warrington, it’ll be interesting to see how we line up next Thursday. We know that we will be without Briscoe, Crosby, Johnson, Leeming, Walker, Walters and Ward. Sutcliffe wasn’t in the squad vs Warrington due to a knee injury, which hopefully isn’t too bad. I would guess that he goes to full back he’s back in, or we go with Myler. Evans out on loan for the month at Bradford, Dupree at Batley for month.

I'd be maybe a nice time to put McClelland on bench instead of L.Sutcliffe as he can cover hooker or backs and with team playing well and on high spirits McClelland could maybe get some valuable game time in 17 but if L.Sutcliffe is fit I fully expect him to be in team.

The obvious would be Myler or Sutcliffe. I think Newman would go well at full back, strong runner with a good step and put Alex Sutcliffe / Liam Sutcliffe / Broadbent at centre.

Is Walker serious? Thought it was minor.

We don't know yet, but even it's minor you would think he'd miss at least a week

Thompson should be banned for that tackle. Gigot should miss the game through HIA failure.

Myler deserves to start at FB. F-ck Sutcliffe he is absolutely dire + doesn't even deserve a spot in the 17

Hate to say this but it was nice to see a Leeds side trot out without L Sutcliffe. We have more specialist players at 1, 3/4, 6 and back row. Greenwood is another you’d pick ahead of Sutty in the back row. Not sure what his future is except as utility.

Not sure about Myler as staring FB - one swallow a summer does not make. I like him on the bench to come on and make an impact. I’d be tempted to play an academy prospect at the back instead.

I’d go big on Toronto up front - let’s get Holroyd in with Ava & Oledski and I thought Prior/Smith combination worked very well.

Wonder what really happened, I’d heard he was concerned about his body and the impact playing the game can have. If so then he’s probably made the right choice for now, we all know that the players that get injured are mostly those who aren’t fully committed.

Just hope that he doesn’t regret it later in life, so much talent he could have a fantastic career and life Asa result. Experience tells me it’s better to regret doing something than not doing it.

Both Agar and Myler remarked upon his (i.e.Myler's) having practiced in a variety of roles inc. FB. Hard to see why unless the aim was for him to provide cover there.

I'd prefer Myler not to be Fullback, prefer L Briscoe or handley who are more used to bringing the ball back and dealing with kicks, Myler played well Friday bar one mistake, but then again for one game against a poor Toronto should nit be be a problem. Toronto is defense is way of the pace and although they like to throw the ball about their handling is very poor too, cannot see anything other an ash win for us, should not be even close.

Could do it either way. Your points about the wingers are right though it could be argued that Myler's link play is better. Agree that if Walker needs a game off then you couldn't wish for a better fixture right now.

I'm not too fussed about Myler playing full back against Toronto, but I would probably think differently if we were playing anyone else.

I was going to post something very similar - this is a game we *should* be winning relatively comfortably, so a great opportunity to do 1 of 2 things for me;
1 - Play Myler there - gives him more game experience for in case he has to cover again.... great experience for a fairly substantial ‘what if’ risk
2 - Play a youngster - Gives then Super League experience, same thinking as above

All that being said, we obviously shouldn’t take the Wolfpack lightly, this is exactly the sort of game we’ll turn up and play dog turd in over the last couple of years.

I really think we should be going all out with our best team available and not take Toronto too lightly as they will put a performance in some time and Mac will have them fired up for the game. Id play Myler at full back mainly because he chimes into the line well and I think that’s a play we have been working hard on and its working thus far, Dwyer has shown he can play the full 80 if he doesn’t waste his energy with erratic play.

Having said all that I think this might be a good game to put Mclelland on the bench to give him a run I would go

The priority on Thursday is not to treat Toronto as an easy game. We are improving yes, but cannot treat any team as easy meat........... such a strategy usually back fires! I would not play Myler at fullback under any circumstances. He has been playing some of his best rugby from the bench. Don't change that formula. Play Sutcliffe, Handley or Mclelland with AN Other covering any potential gap on the wing. The full back roll should never be under estimated. A comprehensive victory is possible if the team continue to apply themselves, stick to the game plan and play as a team.

I'd play Newman or McLelland at full back if Walker is not fit.

Looks like Stanley and Thompson will be available for Catalans.
