| I think Wane would be the best choice, followed by Flanagan. Or you could spring a surprise with an up and coming coach like Watson or Ward but I doubt that will happen unless the powers that be want to be able to have a say – something Wane would not put up with.
Personally I hope Agar gets a 10 year contract

| If we go British, we deserve everything we will get. A disaster that would be, whoever it is, and I am including Powell too. Needs someone who does not know the players, and had nothing to do with them. Sort the poop out.

| Shaun Wane with Richard Marshall is my gut instinct. Would prefer Demetriou with Marshall as assistant though.

| Much as I’d like Dave Furner, I don’t see that one happening. I’d also be a bit surprised if any Aussie is willing to move his family half way around the world for what could be a short stay.
I think we are looking at Wane, and he will do it through gritted teeth. Hope I’m wrong.
This stinks...

Yeah I’m not sure Dave Furner would be up for it to be honest

| Betfred have put up a market on the new coach and Richard Marshall is their early favourite. That would be some feat to parlay his most recent result - a 56-4 hammering in the Championship two weeks ago - into the head coaching job at one of SL's most successful teams!

I think this could be a real issue.
If you were an Aussie you can see how they may see Furner as been hard done by here and think twice about moving you family around the world for a short stay if results aren't instant.
Given our issues appear defensive and structural wane is the natural and available to solve those things but many would be reluctant to see him at Leeds.
This is a tough and important call for the club. Get this one wrong and you have to stop querying the coach and look at the management structure above.

| It's obvious Furner has not had full control of playing staff,ie players he wanted out and was not allowed to move on.No Aussie will come and Richard Marshall is the next fall guy.
Sad sad state for the club to be in

| I wonder what Furner thought when he heard Sinfield was sat with Marshall at the Salford game ? Or did he know beforehand?

| Heard Gary has been on the blower to Mark Campbell and Ryan Carr is being dual registered for the game this weekend along with Cameron King.

| As a Fax fan I think Marshall would do great. We were crazy to get rid of him (though I understand for a big SL club it may be a little underwhelimg!)
But my question is, how many top, experienced coaches will want the job if Hetherington and Sinfield are sticking their oars in? To get the man you want, you may need to completely change your structure?..

Agar is actually well respected within the playing community apparently.

| Probably me finished if Wane takes over , i was bored enough with Macs last few years .Saying that after 50 odd years of supporting i probably would still go now and again .Regarding Agar , just speak to F.C and Wire supporters and of course as assistant coach is partly responsible for the position we are in

Who would you like to see be the new coach?
I’ll be honest I don’t think I've got a preference at this stage, I don’t give a monkeys who it is as long as they bring improvement.

| 'According to sources he is claiming unfair dismissal on the grounds he was brought in to fix the roster, but was then not allowed to do so' I heard he had told people he could not do anything with some of the crap at his disposal...….
Maybe he dared to question the recruitment?.....personally I hope he wins his case which will prove Hetherington as the liar.

Probably not, may not even get that far, I would love it to be proved true though and see GH's reaction.....maybe he should get his tracksuit out, he has obviously seen something in the squad he has assembled / retained
