Seriously this could be a very good game as both have given St Helen's a fright in the last week so can't be long before both sides start to win more often.

I am a bit worried about this one; Wakefield look a well-balanced side this season. Should be a good game.

After picking up our 3rd loss in 4 league games against St Helens, the Wakefield fixture is a must win game for Leeds.

We can almost write these first 4 games off to developing some coherence. Getting one win was OK in the circumstances. I’m fairly happy with where the side is at compared to worst case scenario.
Wakefield at home is a nice kick off for Headingley; can’t wait for the North Stand to be finished.

This is not true. Fridays game against St Helens was not a must win game. However after the start we’ve had we can’t afford another loss to a team like Wakefield.

Golding injured at the minute, Cuthbertson also has his wrist in a splint at the minute so won’t be surprised if he misses.

Ferres is useless, old, offers nothing in attack, an absolute liability in defence and out of contract end of the year, he'd only play in an emergency for me. Suttcliffe isnt any better but least he's got the excuse of learning a new position, young and contracted for years so id rather percevere with him over ferres and see if he could develop into an asset going forward. If wards out...Backrow of Smith, Suttcliffe and Merrin at 13 for Wakey game.

I think after this 4 game away start our next 4 games are must win

Also remember seeing a potential eye gouge in the game by Brad Dwyer so if that gets picked up he could be missing for a while so let’s hope Parcell is fit enough to play.

I thought I saw a bit of a chicken wing on Cuthbo. Someone certainly straightened the ball carrying arm beyond what they should have done, leaving him in obvious pain.

The one on walmsley when he scored? I did wonder though saw nothing from AW suggesting any contact with the eye had been made.

Ferres did the eye gouge on the Walmsley try. Expect it will be picked up.

The lack of reaction from Walmsley makes me think it wasn't a gouge. Haven't watched it back, mind.

I think the "gouge" looked worse in slow motion at full speed it looks like the arm is raised trying to push Walmsley off the tackler.

Clearwing I agree re-Cuthbo he was dragged down by the arm and the tacklers weight put on it (Taia or peyroux) then he had to have it re-strapped at HT.

That whole arm is bandaged up isn’t it (I mean before games even). It was hurt during play, and then again when he was grounding the ball on one of our “no try’s”.
If Crosby is about fit that could be a swap. Otherwise, could be time to roll out the Holroydinator.
Ablett, JJB and Donaldson must all be close as well as I don’t expect Ward will be fit for Wakey (or shouldn’t be).
If Walker is out also, our best option might be Tui to FB and Smith or McClelland in at the halves.
Sutcliffe didn’t do much for me against Saints, would be tempted to stand him down for this one although I doubt he will be.

Just watched it back and it was definitely Dwyer on the floor with his fingers in the eyes of Walmsley.

Well if the RFL haven't picked it up before they probably will now. Well done guys. Why not post a clip of it too to help them out further. Maybe put time of incident to save them time looking?

Dwyer not even looking at Walmsley’s face. I think it’s a natural reaction to somebody 20 stone landing on top of you, putting your arm up to protect yourself.

I can't understand people wanting to put Tui to FB, might well offer something new in attack but the guy is not intrested in making a tackle!

The Tuition/Myler partnership isn't something we should be breaking up as it's too key that we get it right to have any sort of attacking threat. There must be someone else (Handley, Briscoe, Newman even) we could play at FB?

I reckon if Jack is out that Watkins will be fullback and Newman into the side at centre.
