| the team looked a lot better today. Aiton will be confirmed early in the week and apparently Crosby will join for the rest of the season too. They’ll go straight into the squad if true.

| Have to wonder if Parcell injury is an issue when Aiton coming out of retirement.
Young Mikolaj has done great this year but it's understandably looking a bit much for him last few weeks so can understand Crosby signing.
Wouldn't have thought either will be great signings but they are 2 bodies at a time when bodies aren't available and in desperate times needs must I suppose.

| This is a must win game, no doubt about it. But a win might not be enough, as we are relying on results elsewhere to go our way.

| Funny seeing you write that every week then hear the real Kevin Sinfield say in his presser last night, “is there such a thing as a must win game”

Smith should be instead of Ferres. We really don’t learn with Ferres at all.

| If Ferres "improving" continues to mean stupid cheap penalties throughout the game id rather just pay him off & ditch him.

Ok, i too only remembered the one.
While he is not setting the world on fire he looks fitter and played the full 80 minutes again i believe. He looked so out of condition last season that he made himself an easy target for criticism from supporters. These last few weeks he at least looks the part and is putting the minutes in on the field

| I didn't think Ferres was bad with the penalties this week. He gave at least one needless one away, but he also won one for us with the ball trap incident.

Ferres gave away 2 pens though I too only recall one of them.

As for the one he won, for me the wakey player was the one trying to cheat by pretending to be trapped and rightly getting pulled for interference. If you doubt this, trap the arm of a mate or even your wife in your armpit and try stop them breaking free.

But he pulls his arm out ferres would let the ball go and a penalty for a ball strip would be given. Lyne made a clear gesture to the ref he had his arm trapped. Hicks should have told Ferres to release him - it’s that simple

Maybe so. But not a case of Ferres having cheated which is what the Wakey fan to whom I'd replied had alleged. Lyne could easily have freed his arm; he chose not to.

But he offers absolutely nothing in attack, along with his penalty liabilities. For me, as stated previous, he is a huge negative influence in this club.

Weird choice of player to look to for attacking prowess. Then again, our 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 & 9 don't look to have a match-winning moment between them, so why not? As for Ferres, I can take him or leave him.
