| Funny how the mind works, you will probably remember things clear as day which in the grand scheme of others things have turned out to be minor in comparison to final winning tries/plays for example and things perhaps others won't remember. Here are a few of mine and if you could add to this it would be (for me anyway) great reading and perhaps rejig my mind of things I have since forgot.
- Rob Burrow picking up and dumping Jamie Thackray (then at Hull I think) on his back before pulling his shirt over his head and started slapping him.
- Could even be the same game, Sinfield chose to go for the two points in the last couple of minutes despite being plenty of tries ahead. Instead ball of the tee he chips to the corner and Leeds score. Well, the video ref chalked it off.
- Ryan Bailey kick and chase, thinking 2012 at home versus Catalans? Great kick and chased by the man himself as he thundered into the full back.
- Versus Warrington, cup 2005 at home, think a student in the houses behind western terrace was playing a drum kit which lead to a couple of people in the south stand shouting at the Warrington fans who in turn gave it back in a farce of a minutes silence.
- Not amazing this one. Seem to remember Wigan warming up on the cricket ground once maybe 2005 when we beat them 70-0. Not seen that happen since.
- Cas away 2004, early in the season and David Furner hammering Jamie Thackray every time he ran straight at him - repeat this about 15 times.
- Reception given to Big Les at his last rugby league game versus us at home. On a similar note, think he accidentally knocked out Rob Burrow through his knee and straight away put him in the recovery position and looked after him.
- Cas at home 2004, we must have won by 60 and Cas scored one try, fairly close to the posts and their kick scuffed the ball which just ran across the ground, I don't think it actually increased in height after being kicked and is probably the worst goal kick I've ever seen.
- Wayne McDonald near length of the field versus St Helens at Knowsley Road 2003 - I am sure this happened where he went the length of the pitch, including dummying Wellens and sprinting past seemingly everyone!
Would love to hear what little moments spring to your mind!

| Big Ali out-pacing the entire Saints team in the 2005? playoffs.
Bailey getting penalised away at Saints for tackling too hard.
Ali's try against Wigan, I think, where he dove in magnificently at the corner.
In 2009 Leeds scoring 2 tries in the last 3 minutes to come from behind to beat Wakefield.

| Bailey with that kick return V Catalan and his running battles with Saints and the FGB in particular.
Keith Senior slapping John Wilkin. Also a try Senior scored, I think vs wire. Straight up carry off the ruck, burst through, had Webb or Mags in support but rounded the fullback instead.
Ian Kirke chasing down, I think Paul Sykes at Odsal over 50 metres.

| Great idea for a topic... Bravo!!!
Can't remember all the details, but I'm going to go for an away game at Sheffield that was one of my favourite days out and sticks in my memory. Mainly because it's the last game I attended with both my Dad and Grandad who have both since passed away.
It was in the Graham Murray days when Harris would start at 1, with Powell at 6 and St Hilare on the bench. Leeds played absolutely awful for the first 60 mins from recollection and were I think 20 points down in the last quarter. Murray played his customary trump card with St Hilare on at fullback for Powell, with Harris moving to 6 and orchestrating a fine comeback and nicking it right at the end - I have a feeling Harris might even have kicked one from the touchline to win it.
The extra-time Challenge Cup semi at Huddersfield will also long live in my memory - It's right up there with all of our trophy winning games for me.
And finally, the away game at Wigan when Cassidy got Moz with the mother of all cheap shots - what an atmosphere! Miss the old Central Park away days. Infact, I really miss the whole Graham Murray era - the most enjoyable rugby I've ever watched and what I'd give for the game to go back to that type of play... That pack of Moz, Newton, Barrie, Farrell, Fleary, Glanville - imagine the damage they'd do to modern day packs if they'd played them back in the day. Then throw in Harris in his prime and the super classy Brad Godden. Today's sanitised version of the game is nowhere near as enjoyable to watch!

Catalans playoff semi in 2009. McGuire's 2nd try when straight from a kickoff, Sinfield 20m from our own line on the second tackle fires a long pass out to Donald, he races down the wing to halfway, puts a high bomb up and just when you think "what the f**k are you doing its the second tackle!"...McGuire comes out of back play and his run is timed to perfection and he doesn't have to alter his stride one bit to catch it and run 30m to the line.

In 2009 Leeds scoring 2 tries in the last 3 minutes to come from behind to beat Wakefield.'"
When we came out of the ground, heading back from the coach there was a Wildcats fan absolutely mortalled, shirt buttons ripped open being held up by his very overdressed other half, completed with strap heels dragging behind her, make up ruined and this guy just absolutely in tears, hardly unable to stand. He must have promised her a great night out or something and instead taken her to the rugby.
When he caught sight of me and my brother in Leeds colours he just completely and utterly lost it, the level of anguish and rage pent up was amazing, f'ing and blinding "YOU!! YOU'VE DONE THIS TO ME! I 'ATE LEEDS!! ITS ALWAYS F'ING LEEEEEEEDS!! WHY CANT WE BEAT EM!"
We respectfully of course burst out laughing, then his Mrs chipped in "'E were appy!! we were winning! 'e was gonna take me out to celebrate!! now look what youve done!!! youve ruined me larfe!!" Then he fell in a heap and we made our exit swiftly into the night.
Always stuck with me that.
Cas fan outside the boot room or early bath screaming "we all hate Leeds scum" while wearing a Leeds Utd top on was another highlight, the more he screamed, the more we laughed, the angrier he got.
Anyone remember the legendary Tom Bush? "That" chant me and me dad laughing our heads off and my Mum completely non plussed

| Although I've been to a fair few games including my fair share of finals I think 2014 when we finally won the challenge cup, the atmosphere inside Wembley was outstanding not to mention the journey down and the banter between Leeds & Cas fans. Fantastic day out and a great advert for the sport. It was also great heading home with a huge smile on the face rather than another year of disappointment.
Also that try from Robbie Burrow in 2011 against the Saints at Old Trafford.

| Gary Schofield moments stick in the memory. Playing against Halifax, he made a break down the left infront of the South Stand and Jon Bentley came across to cover. Bentos smiled at him and held out a hand offering Schoey the outside. Schoey slowed right down, drew Bentley in and then kicked through perfectly for the young Franny Cummins to shoot past Bentley, collect and score. Even Bentos laughed.
Second was an away game at the Boulevard (JP trophy I think), and Schoey got the worst abuse from a crowd I've ever heard (Sam Tomkins would have cried his eyes out). Last laugh though went to Schoey, not only did he play great but finished Hull off with an interception bang on our try line to go the full length. I was at the end in the corner where he scored and I'm sure he must have seen us right by the wall waving him in. Great moment.

It was 2001. Leeds went to the dreaded Boulevard with little expectation fielding a young side with a bench of Calderwood, Diskin, Netherton (Debut), Ward. The Ward drop goal (21st birthday present to himself) was in the first minute of the second half when he picked up a rebound from a Burrow short kick and slotted it over for reasons best known to himself. Leeds had barely threatened the Hull half let alone line to this point and that made the score 6 - 1 to Hull. Yet Leeds strangely never looked back and ran out 6-15 winners.

Adrian Morley not double moving to score the late winning try against Saints in 2000 Challenge Cup
'"
My first ever game! Sat on the wall on the South-Western terrace, that wall has just been knocked down now and as you will remember that was where Morley scored right in the corner. I was only 8 or so and perhaps you will remember better than me, wasn't it scored in the 84th minute or so? Seem to remember Harris missing a drop goal and hobbling about. Sean Long scoring and converting his try wide out to make it even terms on about the 78th minute and I don't think he missed a kick including a penalty shot from 40 metres out to the western terrace. The noise when Morley scored will always stick with me.
Also, a few years on from that remember on a bitterly cold night Leeds versus Penrith academy at Headingley. Seem to recall a young lad had a fitness test just doing laps around the pitch and overhearing one of the coaches say he won't be playing anyway...
Think it was close and seem to recall the Panther's winning. Wrote the players' names down and tracked their careers since, Lachlan Coote, Wade Graham, Sam McKendry and Tim Glasby have all gone on to have good first grade careers. For us Luke Gale, Ben Jones-Bishop and Ryan Hall have done alright for themselves.
Springs to mind getting the coach across to Wigan, summer of 2004, could have been the game Farrell broke his nose. Remember being on the coach looking out the window and seeing Ali Lautiiti signing autographs, having pictures with fans. It was one of the first times I had seen a player up fairly close and remember being ataken back by the size of him - pretty sure he scored that day and it felt when he first came with the exception of his debut he seemed to score in every game for 7 in a row.
Remember also Chris Feather with probably the best run of his career versus Bradford in April 2004 and slamming over to put us out of touch and wrap the game up. Think it was the first time we had beaten them for nearly two years. McGuire scored from a scrum, first receiver dummy and go, Marcus Bai also got one with a finger-tip grounding which the video ref appeared to look at for ages. Remember Deacon kicking over the top for Vaikona (i think) to score late on to give them a chance.
Also Sal, that 0-0 game, seem to remember it being one of the best opening 40 minutes of rugby? Gorgeous evening and exceptionally good defence, how it stayed 0-0 was beyond me.

I'm in a similar position to you that 2003 was the year that I started going to more and more matches. Love that video, and McGuire's try at the end, if it had played on as opposed to being cut to the video ref when they're celebrating, you may have seen a 12 year old me celebrating with the players.
Remember there being a half break and the ball seemed to be in the air of Dunneman's foot for an eternity, even longer for McGuire to get there and pick it up before plonking it over. Didn't think anything of it at the time and looking back it now - he would have been 20 at the time of that game - how good is that pick up, at pace?

| Rob burrow's debut/home debut. Think it was at home to Hull in 2001, I think we lost the game. Remember seeing this tiny player come onto the field, never seen a rugby player so small and at the time i thought he looked funny. But then he ran rings round the hull defence to score 2 tries and kicked some touchline conversions, i remember thinking geez this kid is hot sh*t. They'll never be a another player like him. 2011 GF was his crowning moment.
