Maybe the club felt something different to a normal homecoming was more befitting. Usually we only have a homecoming if we win, this will be going ahead regardless. I also don't view £5 as a rip off or a con.

Dont recall paying to see them return with the challenge Cup - Also exclusive to members until Friday, not mention of how many tickets are available. I dont expect them to sell out, so why can we not pay on the door ?

How on earth is it a con?? Sorry not £5...A huge £2 more in £7! WOW. £7 to get into an event at one of the best areanas the country has...Jesus christ, no wonder they call us the Whinos!!! When the players have their Pie and Peas testimonial nights at £5 per head, is that a total con too? You can buy 4 pork pies and a tin of mushy peas for £1.30. CON totally F'in CON



Priority to members is called common sense. And why compare to the CC homecoming? Its a completely different event to the CC homecoming.

If paying £7 to sit in an arena, watch some video clips you'll have already seen and listen to Kevin Sinfield mumble some platitudes is your thing, go for it.

No money for FD, they only sponsor the arena, more so eventim (ticket company) and SMG (arena operators).

Or if you want to pay a few quid to sit in an arena to congratulate 3 of the clubs best ever players and possibly congratulate the whole team and club on the greatest moment in its history is your thing then go for it.

If you don't want to then don't go for it.

Of course if you're a miserable b&stard then you could take the p!ss out of the event on the Internet. And of course if they hadn't had an event and you're a miserable b&stard then you would criticise the club for not adequately honouring such players.
But that's only if you're a miserable b&stard.

Leeds City Council spend approx £2bn a year. You really think a share of what, £50k?, is a money-spinner for them?

It's like when Leeds bring a new shirt out and the usual suspects call it a con or a money spinner. If you want to go, go. It's at a price virtually anyone can afford. If you don't want to go don't. But don't sit there and whinge because you're not getting something for free.

In addition to the other events that have already been planned and publicised. (I believe there's a dinner with JP, Sinfield and Barrie Mac that has been advertised for quite a while now)

You do realise this isn't "the club" honouring anyone don't you? It's an event being put on by First Direct Arena and Leeds City Council, not the Rhinos.
