It's shame to some degree, he's a great athlete, with a great build for RL, and bags of talent. Unfortunately, I don't think he's tough enough to ever be more than a squad player whatever league he's in.

It should free up some cap space, though. I wonder if he goes if we'll sign someone, or give someone like Minchella a chance.

In all seriousness though, good for him if he has got himself a gig back home, i wouldn't have held too much hope for him after a pretty non descript 3 years here.In fairness his time with us has been blighted by injuries and he has never had a long run, but thats how it goes sometimes. I never really rated him personally, although i know some on here feel had he got a run of games he could have become a good player, but never happened. Hope this comes off, best thing for both partys imo.

The Newcastle link would make sense because the hooker now on our radar is Adam Clydesdale. It's apparently between us and Melbourne (where he'd be understudying Smith) but would be a good signing.

Average player with Wigan and below average when he moved to Salford.
Added to that very injury prone.
I would prefer to stick with the likes of Baldwinson and Minchella and put the money into a decent hooker and half back.
Clark and Gale would do for me.
