| Wigan not onced penalised for holding down
3 or 4 wrong decisions in the buildup to their second try
Constant offside
The Wigan mafia on Sky ing themselves into an early grave over it all.
Clearly the lot at the top think the rules need to be altered to ensure some 'competitiveness'.

| Our coach had his pants pulled down in tactics, that is the bottom line.
Yes Wigan pushed the limits of the rules, but we were 3, let's be honest. Beaten easily in the pack, no dummy half until Sinfield moved there, no halfback play, and a right winger who looked so vulnerable you thought he was going to cry.
Wigan got away with a lot, but well done to them. That sort of match youthful enthusiasm always trumps.

| I knew it. I knew it'd be the coach's fault
It wasn't the coach's fault. It was Wigan being allowed to do virtually what they wanted without punishment and our players not setting off playing until the second half.

Read it properly, and stop been so biased.
Wane quite clearly had the right tactics in that match, and voided anything ours had. That was the bottom line.

Totally agree when a rugby game broke out they where hanging on for their lifes. In was out right thuggery from Wigan at times. I thought spear tackles are a straight red after the McKinnon incident, now it's ok to bottle it and go on report again

| Exactly, Thaler is too soft as a ref, Silverwood would've been better for this game (showed no hesitation in the Hull game showing a red card).
We were off the pace tbh and missed a proper hooker (although only Wigan were missing players, about 37 guys apparently).
A game dominated by how slow the PTB can be slowed down. Thought we were past that and what was strangling the sport around 2-3 years ago, unfortunately not.
P.S. I told ppl that BJB playing well against lower opposition was to be viewed with caution, against top teams he's often what he showed tonight.

I knew this thread was coming, as you can never take losing to us.
My friend, there was no spear tackle, the referee's exact words were 'I know you put him on his back, the penalty if for lifting into a dangerous position'. That is why there was no red card, because no spear tackle occurred.
No thuggery, no cheating, you just got outplayed, deal with it.
McIlorum shouldn't have gone into the sin bin, it was just a standard high shot, worthy of a penalty, nothing more, and he was talking to Thaler when the fight broke out.

Get a grip. You're an embarassment.

| In fact, some of you kids are embarrassing, just admit you we're beat by the better team, it's rugby league, if you don't like it, then stick to football or some other non contact sport.
I don't see you talking about how Bailey led with the elbow/forearm into Suttons face.

| You're right, McDermott was duped. He made the strategically poor decision of trying to play Rugby League according to its rules. He should have foreseen that as an foohardy move that would make victory less likely.
Three massive decisions Wigan got off Scott-free on:
McIlroum swinging arm to JP's face - Red
Bateman's three punches to Bailey's head - Red
Spear tackle - Red
All given as yellows / OR.
Then let's look at the others
- We're pressuring the Wigan line, Sinfield breaks through. Knocked out of his hands after the tackle was completed, given as a knock on.
- Sutcliffe makes a tackle, Bowen takes a swing at him. Wigan penalty for holding down? Next set, Wigan hold JP down for about 10 seconds, no penalty. Should have been our penalty and a yellow for Bowen.
- Try chalked off - bull was it a knock on. There's 6 arms in their, and even with their 'super zoom' you can't see whether Moon had it in the first place, or whether Smith knocked it out. Try, BotD.
Also Wigan being about 5m offside all match long.
But yes, it's McDermott's fault. Why don't you get the off of here and take your ty little agenda with you?
Anyway, onwards & upwards. Drop BJB, have Aiton & Burrow back for the GF and we'll rape them so hard McIlroum will be walking bow-legged till 2016.

McIlorum on one hand can consider himself unlucky. If that incident happens after 5/10 mins of clean play then no problem. Doing it 10 secs after being talked to by the ref was dumb.
The spear tackle, regardless of what the ref said it was dangerous and he can't be taken seriously saying he KNEW the player was trying to put him on his back.

Think the problem with the spear tackle was the two others in the tackle adding weight. Hall wasn't lowered to the floor he was banged in. If the mistake was made lifting legs and they controlled hall to the ground I could understand the refs comments but this wasn't the case

You should get off the forums before you really make a fool of yourself. I suggest you start with Wikipedia and learn some of the basics of the game pal.

A spear tackle is when someone lands on their head. Hall didn't, it was his back.
And as for people saying McIlorums was a swinging arm, no it wasn't. Just watch the replays.

Wow you're an idiot.
2nd half was great to watch and if [iboth[/i teams had played like that in the first half then Leeds would've won by 2-3 tries. Unfortunately with that thug in charge of Wigan it was never going to happen.

It was high, 30 seconds after a mass brawl and team warning. He's lucky it was only 10.
