| Big useless cheap shot merchant, someone needs to give him a good hiding.
As for Wigan, they are just a pale shadow of their formerselves when Tomkins is in the stand.
Good reading the meltdown in pie land though

You say that like you have some kind of inside knowledge.
It's been common knowledge he's going to be leaving for months now, it's just not been officially announced.

They're going to have to get used to not being in the mix for silverware when he leaves.
The Weegan fans are blaming Wane for a lack of tactics, I don't think that's the case at all. I think he's made a lot of their players overachieve by ensuring they play to a rigid structure which is mostly effective against the lesser teams but found wanting in the really big games. The players haven't got it in them to gain results any other way.

| Did anyone else notice that Luaki appeared to try and stamp on the tackled players ankles a number of times when he was clearing the ruck?
I noticed it a couple of times and thought I myself I'm sure he's trying to do it, so I started watching out for it - there was a good example of it in the 70th minute. I might be wrong, and it may be coincidence, but he definitely appeared to be looking where he was putting his feet, and altered his movements to tread on the talked players ankles.

I spotted that too. There was one when after the tackle he altered his stride pattern and you could see him "stamping" down. Luckily he missed. Lucky for him Robby Burrow was not on the field or he would have copped a swift right hand to the chin lol

McIllorum is an excellent player. He is a nasty little so and so but when was that a bad thing?
As for the subject of the thread he's a bit of a tosspot. I don't have a problem with his silly antics but he always looks like he will burst into tears when it heats up.

From a ball-in-hand perspective I just don't see it, yes his defence can be brutal but far to often he struggles to control his aggression. I just think a Hooker needs to be more in control.

From the two starters last night at hooker I'd take Lunt over McIlorum any day of the week.

Same here but I did think Lunt was unusually poor last night

| I'd take either of McIlorum or Lunt ahead of Burrow or McShane.
On Lauaki, couldn't see what Wigan saw in him. Never made me sit up and take notice at Hull where he was always a poor version of Manu. Only thing anyone remembers him for is getting owned by Rob Burrow.

| I think McIlorum's a very good player. Probably third choice for England with Lunt's form this year. Not the first or last player to be a nasty little g!t and still be a decent player.
Like others I was very surprised when Wigan signed Lauaki, and I haven't seen anything from him since to persuade me. Has "Cas" written all over him.

He shouldn't be third choice on this season. Last season yes, this no way.
Would have Roby, Lunt, Higham, Houghton, Clarke, all before him.
Lauaki is a joke player. A turd coated in glitter comes to mind. To look at should be great, but on closer inspection a turd is a turd.

As you're keen to qualify it on THIS season why on earth have you put Roby in there?

Because Roby will always be picked for England if available. The point was in line for England.
Despite that, Roby has shown it over many years. Mcilorum showed it last year.

So, in other words, you're not actually basing your opinion on this season, despite saying you were?
