Leeds Rhinos' free-scoring winger Ryan Hall

Time for an update to indicate current form perhaps.

Superficially, I see what you mean but he's a winger ... and wingers need some decent ball that he's not been getting.
In defence, it all needs organising, not all Hall's fault by any means.
He is always coming in to share the dummy half workload in our own half.
Last night he was like a centre on the wing, taking the high ball to feed a wing at centre.

He's fine by me.

He's a finisher with nothing to finish at the moment. His offloading game is also excellent but he needs some ball on the front foot which he's not getting enough of.

His form is poor, his appetite for shuffling sideways increasing, bad habits for a winger.

What a perfectly timed comment the day after one of his best displays of the season. He was superb last night.

And more than fine by me, tries are only a small component of what he brings.

It was in response to a specific comment in that piece - nothing more than that. The focus on the Challenge Cup ambition seemed a little out also given Leeds' recent exit - albeit it obviously remains a goal. Perhaps Leeds should continue to fail in that comp if it keeps Hall more interested in staying than leaving.

Bad form would be a winger blowing try scoring chances....he doesn't blow chances (he even turns half chances into something good) but he's simply not had a sniff in the last several games.

Agree with that Gareth - his defence has been shocking and once defences have worked him out he has made a lot less impact

Disagree I think our poor half back performances are restricting the supply of ball. We are standing flat on attack and passing flat in no go situations too much, we looked better on Friday with peacock back because of the switch pass to the second phase attack ie hard asker coming into the iine.

Watkins didn't seem to struggle half as much with half the ball?

Do you think Briscoe is a replacement for Hall, im a Hull fan and think Hall is top drawer, scored some amazing tries, but Tom at his best is a formidable replacement. Granted the lad aint played at his best for us this year, but he is young and all though some disagree, I think he would step into an NRL side and not look out of place.

Quite. But Briscoe to replace a departing Hall would also be a good signing. If Hall does go (desperately hope he doesn't) then the club will have replaced him with the nest best available, if the rumours are true, IMO.

You mean by having a 5 man 3/4 line? That would be good. Do we have to lose a forward or just have 14 men?

If Hall decided to depart for the NRL tomorrow, that wouldn't be Tom Briscoe.

Not on current form it wouldn't be. As much as Briscoe is going to be a loss for us (at his best he's sensational), we really cant afford to spend a chunk of our cap on a player whos blown hot and cold for 18 months. If you were going to sign the next best winger after Hall tomorrow, that would be our other wing.

If Saints carry on losing money hand over fist, I wouldn't be averse to sticking in a cheeky bid for Tommy Makinson.
