No. The losing semi-finalists got bronze medals and you could argue that her final opponent also won a medal at the exact same time. She's the first female Olympic boxing champion though.

I went and had a look at the one for the Brownlee lad today, in Horsforth. There were lots of kids getting their photo taken next to it. There was also a bloke with a Yorkshire flag and a Yorkshire Terrier. I hope he made his point strongly enough.

Just walked past Nicola's gold post boxes - her mum was stood in front of them having her piccy taken for the YEP.

The final score (16-7) was a nice reminder of a famous Leeds win. Nice touch for her to acknowledge a great day in the club's history, albeit one from before when she was born.
