Mcshane has a 4yr deal and Lunt still has a while on his contract at the Giants.
I'd hope we see him back at the Rhinos getting at least an extended run at 9 next year but its doubtfull.

rumours in the S Stand tonite have Lunt on a permanent deal, can't confirm how reliable they are though.

Mcshane is awesome, I'm hoping we can work with Leeds to get him to us permanently.

That's unfair. How good do hookers generally look when their pack lose collisions and are dominated like the Widnes pack is week after week? Could it be that he's getting a run in the first team and playing his backside off trying to impress a coach that has such a low opinion of him he replaced him with a second string loaner from Huddersfield who was himself replaced by Scott Moore of all people. What is McShane expeted to do? He's gone on loan and he's playing well. How well was Lunt playing when we signed him on laon I wonder.

Bit harsh that fellas, we've been going great as a team over the last month and Paul has played a massive part in it. I hope you sign Lunt as that increases our chances of getting him permanently.

Nathan Brown - you know, that guy who is going to take Saints to glory - didn't think he was good enough defensively and decided he'd be better off with Scott "Last Orders" Moore in there instead.

Says a lot more about Brown than it does about Lunt, IMO.

Personally, I'd expect Anderson will want him back for next year as I don't think Moore will last very long under him. He's already given them a speech on discipline and taking personal responsibility for your actions, neither of which are the player's strong point.

Widnes rolled over a very poor Salford side that lost its best player and is now dialling in the rest of the season, Similarly they rolled over a very poor Cas side the other week that gave probably the worst performance I've seen from a SL side in years. Judging McShane as some sort of superstar on the basis of those performances in nonsense.

IMO he'll make someone a decent hooker. It won't be a side with ambitions to be challenging for honours though.

I've nothing against Lunt but I fail to see what he brings to the table that McShane can't. Glad McShane's got his head down though and working hard at Widnes.

If so i wish Macca all the best and i personally think we've dropped a clanger i like Lunt but Mcshane offers more imo but on the positive side given Lunt is 25/26 there could be time for Teasdale to improve and come through with Hood.

As most have said despite being a good solid pro cant see what Lunt brings to the team that McShane could not quality wise.

He is now gaining good experience and getting plenty of game time at super league level.I wonder if, with him being on such a long deal, we could loan him out again for next season with the option of him returning for 2014.

Wouldnt want to see us get rid of this lad just yet as i have a sneaky feeling he could be another to bite us in the ass down the line!!

McShane has been pretty much magnificent in all games since joining including Saints, Hudds and Wigan. I make it 6 games he's played in so covering nearly half the league!
