Is Lunt confirmed as going back or does his loan just run out?

There was some talk of Lunt wanting to go to Aus to be with his brothers but I think that has changed. If he continues to play well and fits in then there must be strong chance of a deal been struck with the Giants. I don't know what this would mean for McShane and Hood?

I guess it will mean they have to play better than him to get in the team. If Hood and McShane are good enough then they will be able to get in the team and secure a long career. If they're not, they're not. Lunt does have one thing they don't, which is a lot more superleague experience. Hood, in particular, has a long way to go yet and could easily surpass anyone else at the club at 9 as he gains experience. Same goes for McShane who has looked the business at times during his short spells on the pitch over the last couple of season. It's not been easy for him with Buderus and Burrow preffered last year and McDermott's often confusing selection strategy this year.

With regards to Lunt I would think Leeds might well be interested in signing him for next year.
But how long is his contract with the Giants?
And who is to say we would get him on the cheap if he is going to be contracted to the Giants next year?

Minichiello is about the same age as Webb but is a much better fullback. He's having a great season in the NRL and with all his experience in Grand Finals, SOO and Tests he will be able to pass it on to our young backs. I think similar to the role that Buderus performed.

Lee Smith to replace Webb is fine for me! He just needs a regular spot and he has a safe pair of hands under the high ball and can pass adjacent and not forward!

BJB to full back, David Williams on the wing IMO.

Why on earth would Leeds want to sign both a winger and fullback? Even if Webb leaves, that would mean only one position up for grabs.

Isn't Webb able to pass on that same said experience in GF's ? Pretty lame reason for replacing one ageing FB with another past his prime.

Whatever Buderus did do for the club (and he did plenty of course) I don't consider his mentoring role was anthing to trumpet about. Do you see any vast improvement in McShane's consisency ?? He doesn't appear to have benefitted from Buderus's sagacity in any significant way
