What we’re seeing here is kicking Sam Tomkins whilst he’s down. Sam has just come off what has been his worse run of games in his professional career so far. He certainly doesn’t deserve to be called a girl or be questioned about his sexuality. Neither does any player. Bad form from a couple of posters but we’ve all done it.

i found it ironic briers took such an exception to the kick as he'd done it against senior at hq a few years back, tomkins barely touched him so shouldnt get any further action

Agree some people seem to be a bit obsessed with Sam. A positive for Sam is he is a good player, annoying but good. And he may have a bit of niggle but he gets some hits put on him and seems to just bounce up. Tough little bugger.

What do you consider to be the poor game then? Personally I think he’s put in shocking performances against Leeds and Warrington bar bits of genius in the challenge cup final (that pass comes to mind). I agree that he’s only been poor by his standards though.

I was initially disappointed with him in the final, but on watching the re-run he actually had a solid game. Got 3 votes for Lance Todd (arguably 3 too many).

According to the media before the final he was already Lance Todd winner. I can’t help but think that those nominations might have been a bit bias. Anyhow I’m sure I’m the one whose nit picking here because he was part of the team that won the challenge cup final. Yeah he made some mistakes but doesn’t everyone do that from time to time?

The problem with Sam Tomkins is he plays for wigan and everyone hates wigan dont they? He's our best atacking player so he's the one everyone hates the most.....in short its jealousy. No matter what way you all look at it, its a love hate relationship you all seem to have with him. You love to talk about him and call him every childish name you can think of, but you hate to watch him play because he's so talented and can beat you on his own!!!.

That's basically a perfect analysis of what rugby fans(mostly Wigan fans) have done to Leeds and it's players for the last 7 odd years.

Maybe so, but i cant remember any Leeds players getting booed wearing their national shirt. No matter what a team think about a certain player, the kid was playing for OUR country. Think for the upcoming 4 nations series people need to remember your supporting your country not just your favourite players in the team. Would be interesting to see what the reaction to Sam would be if we he scored the winning try for us if we get to the final and won.....can see this being a very lonely website with alot of people eating a very large piece of hummble pie!!
