Might it also be techincally a criminal offence too ? Wasn't there a football player convicted of throwing a coin / lighter or some such object back in to a crowd and it hitting a spectator ... Was anyone struck by it ?

No that is a correct call from the monster Challenge Cup run during the 1985/86 season under coach Fox. Fortunately we still drew the match with Widnes at Naughton Park (thanks to a last minute David Creasser penalty, image below, after he'd missed with all five shots previously during the tie) and went on the win the quarter-final replay back at Headingley. The 5-0 result ending a never to be forgotten series of four straight matches over eighteen days playing the then brutal Chemics and ending with a record of Won 2, Drawn 1, Lost 1 and a place in the CC semi-final.

I couldn't quite believe it when I saw it, its one of the worse blatant cheats i've seen on a rugby pitch. Its dangerous Burrow had to defend a set of 6 with no boot he could have quite easily taken a stood through the foot in a tackle. I hope the RFL look into it, I doubt it though.

Agree. Also the police should have a look and charge the culprit with assault. I believe it was Willie Isa
