| what a waste of £25! a lacklustre display against a poor team. the only good thing is we are in the hat for the next round.
some thoughts on the game
1-lee smith. great under the high ball but how slow is he???? i was on crutches and could have given him a race.
2-zak hardaker- this kid gets better and better. oozes confidence, great hands and steps off both feet. for me i would play him full back at the moment. would be sensational there.
3-keith senior-its sad to see how far he has declined. no pace, doesn't break tackles and the opposition ran at him all night because they know he misses tackles. please call it a day big lad.
4-luke dorn-how good is this lad? every time i see him i think how could he would be at full back for us. his game would suit us perfectly.
5-ben thaler-i like thaler as a ref but every so often he has a game where it looks as if he can't be bothered to be there. this was one of them. missed loads of things despite being in great positions. could be the best ref about if he shapes himself
6-big ali- that one handed pass last night was sheer quality and took me back to 04-05-06 when he was top class. its been a pleasure to see this man play over the years. he always has a big smile on his face too.you could have a dvd on ali with all his offloads and passes. if hauraki is to replace him its like swopping a porsche for a skoda

| Senior was dreadful last night – frequently out of position, ineffective with ball in hand and defensively questionable.
Now I really like Senior, his contribution to the recent success that Leeds has enjoyed is indisputable but the old man is really showing his age and teams are starting to notice his frailties now.

I would agree with all that and add two things.
7- Clarkson just gets better and better. And I said that before he scored that wonderful try. Personally I already had him down for MOM before that. Don't know who got MOM but he was mine. Although he got pulled for that forward pass in the first half, the way he stepped inside first to give the space showed a good grasp of the game to me.
8- Peacock is a bit of a worry to me. When Kirke is more effective than you things get a bit concerned. Did we bring him back too early?

| Agree what a waste of money, can see why the gate was low, felt sorry for the guys I brought along.
One good thing Hardaker looks like the real deal, safe hands, decent positional and tackling and got a brain when returning kicks and add to that a good pair of heels.
Then there was Ali offloading, what a treat hope he can string some games together. Young Clarkson also gets better and better. JP will come give him time and thought Kirke was very good again.

| Some good points all round but i'll add my 2p's worth Tad i don't think Dorn would improve us tbh.
Gotcha ,i didn't think JP was that bad he got through stacks of work and i'll wait for the stats to confirm but must of made the most metres/carries or be near to the top.
I did think Kirke had a decent match but still some sloppy errors for most of the team not just kirke.
Clarkson is very good now and has the potential to be another Ellis imo and long may it continue and i can see him ,Abbo and Pitts comfortably being key elements in our BR.
P.s Good to see you've calmed down tad!

Not for me, I'd rather he got back his fitness and form in low key fixtures that we can win without needing an immense contribution from him. And lets face it, he was never going to recapture his pre-injury form straight away, bearing in mind its severity and his age.
I don't imagine kirke will outperform him at the business end of the season.

| I enjoyed the match, thought it was a close match between two fairly matched teams. The win wasn't really in the bag until a few minutes from the end, but tbf mainly thanks to Sinfield letting quins back in the game. I'd rather watch a close game like that than 112 nil.
Kylie got man of the match but I thought Clarkson should have got it - how fast was he for his try?!? Alis try was class as well, hopefully he can get a good injury free run.

Is that because Porsche's are expensive to own and spend a lot of time in the repair shop, increasingly so as they get older?

| I seem be on the minority as I think Peacock had a good game. As far as I recall there was one dropped ball but the rest was ok.
I agree on most other things though, namely Clarkson, Hardaker and most of the forwards. Though I must say Ryan Hall was my MoM, once again showing that he IS international class.
Lastly, I do not see what on earth Ben Cross offers us that Ambler doesn't.

| Any update on Senior? Hope it's not serious.
My brother said to me last night that it would be a terrible shame if that was his last ever game in a Leeds shirt.

| As tad knows the game for me last night was all about my kids although i never thought we were in doubt of losing even when behind, point is good teams turn up from the 1st minute so we need to start well next week against the wire. On another note if my son pulled out your golden gamble ticket last night you are welcome to buy me a drink

And of course, any performance in a low-intensity, p[ii[/isspoor standard CC fixture against the Mighty Quins simply has to be a pointer to the international class credentials of Ryan Hall.
May I take this opportunity to congratulate Ryan on his international class credentials and place him alongside some other all-time international class credentialled SL greats like erm..... Francis Cummins, Karl Pratt, Ikram Butt, Matt Diskin, Ryan Bailey, Ewan Dowes, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, Nathan McAvoy, Nick Scruton, Lee Smith, Danny Ward, Phil Cantillon, Jamie Mathiou, Ryan Sheridan, Marcus St Hilaire, Danny Williams, Gareth Morton, Wayne McDonald and SINFIELD!!!
That's Ian Sinfield BTW
