| Both with a very good chance of playing Monday V Crusaders according to Edwardo on Sky.
Be good to see them both back if true.

| I've heard Peacock should be OK for mid May, so that's a bit of a surprise. Would be nice if it's true though.

| Yeah, I read on Twitter that Eddie had said this. Surely they've been in training if they're to play Monday?

| Certainly McGuire has been training with the squad for the best part of a month. I'd be surprised to see Peacock, but not McGuire.
Given the injuries that they have had, it would be stupid to rush them back.

| When I heard it mentioned on Sky, the first thought was desperation. We've already lost Smith for bringing him back too soon.

| I know Danny and i asked him about 6 weeks ago when he was likely to be fit and he said he was aiming for the second of the easter games.
They have got to come back sometime, and from what he said i dont think he has been rushed either he has been training fully for weeks.

Totally agree.
Can't exactly get any more phased in than a bench spot vs. bottom of the league at home.

| Surely they'll both get an academy game game prior to first team? Similar to the way Richards did for Wigan against us.

What's the point?! If they come back to early, they've come back to early. If they're going to get injured they're just as likely to do it in the reserves.

As a progression. Training to a less physically intense game and then into a first team game. Just important to get some match fitness under their belt and I'm not convinced that bringing a player in who hasn't played for 7 months can come back in straight away.
Can't see it being Monday anyway, we've been told start of mMay all along. Will certainly be nteresting to see if we get any more structure back in our attack with Danny at 6 and Sinny at 13.

within the last couple of weeks though the YEP reported that both could be back by the end of April and I've seen a quote from JP recently saying he though Danny would be back before him.

we will be much better team with both on the field, from what Carney said on sky sports, would be supprised not to see maguire play soon. Will be interesting how they both go, and if they are hampered by the surgery or benifitted from extended rest period that neither have had for a number of seasons.

| I would be very surprised if they don't get a run in the under 20s first.
If they were wingers then yes as we are struggling a bit with the Watkins/Smith/Hardacre injuries. But in the front row we are very healthy at the min and one more game playing Sinfield at 6 won't do any harm.

Ah but playing Burrow one more game at 7 might do so

| I asked McGuire at Elland Road last week as he sits up in my bit from time to time and he said hopefully 2 weeks or so I wouldn't be surprised to see him play on Monday!

| I don't understand the point of playing in the U20s. If they're fit then they can play. The injuries will have been tested in every way in rehab and training. They may take a while to reach full match fitness but I'd rather have a Danny McGuire and Jamie Peacock eased back in for 30-40 minutes than Ian Kirke or Weller Hauraki playing those minutes.
The club will be doing everything to make sure they are right - anyone suggesting they are being rushed back is deluded.

Perish the thought that the club would bring back a player not fully fit.
Remind me, was Senior fit at Cardiff?

There's 2 types of fit (well 3). Physically fit and match fit (3rd is Sinny fit... ohhh errr). Playing them in an U20s game or 2 gives them time to get used to playing again, especially after a long break like these two have had. Its better than putting them on the bench and just giving them 20 mins each because thats a waste of interchange spots. Personally I wouldnt risk them Monday but would bring them back Friday.

Yes, the medical staff said so
As you well know, this is a completely different scenario. Much less important game & a much more serious injury.

I wouldn't be overly keen on them playing for the first time in the same game to be honest. If McGuire is OK for Monday I'd bring him on after about half an hour and shift Sinfield into the pack
