| How do,
The fair ladys parents are stopping over on Friday night so we're all off out for a meal (probably somewhere like Blackhouse).
However her old man is a former CAMRA member and loves a drop of a real quality ale, so I need some recommendations on where to take him for a good pint afterwards, and what to drink? I'm sure he might even know of a few places but I'd like to not look completely daft if he asks me.
Cheers in advance

Not ruled that out actually. With him being from Belfast he's a big RU fan and he's only ever seen League on Sky, so it's an option.
Loz - cheers for your suggestion.

| The brewery tap(the one Loz mentioned)
The Palace
Town Hall Tavern
Mr Foleys
Whitelocks
The Midnight bell
The Midnight Bell and Brewery tap are Leeds Brewery pubs and I can recommend all of their own ales especially Leeds best bitter

| The most iconic pub in Leeds is IMV Whitelocks & they serve Leeds Brewery Products there.
The Fox & Newt opp LMU is owned I believe by the guys who run Wharfside brewery in Pool which was featured in this month's CAMRA magazine.

The brown cow in Whitkirk on selby road has got 6 pumps of real ale on. Plus a good range of nice lager. Always a great selection of different types and about 2:40 to 2:60 a pint. Not full of idiots and they do ok food (it's a bit pricey for tha amount you get but it's nice)
Really relaxing place to have a few drinks
I'm missing my real ale big time

| In Leeds centre I'd go to Veritas - a fairly new place owned by the people who run Arcadia in Headingley. They'll have the most diverse range of well keep quality beers. It's on the road just between the bottom part of the LGI and the courts.
Other options already mentioned are Cross keys and Midnight Bell - decent food in these two as well. And the Town Hall Tavern if you particularly like Timothy Taylor beers, although this is all they serve
Wouldn't bother with any of the others mentioned for a quiet family drink or two tbh. North bar is great but might be a bit too 'trendy'. Whitelocks is fairly poor tbh (I used to work there and I wouldn't go drinking there!). The Palace has gone dowhill recently, dont look after the beer well. And the food in the West End is e.
edit ^ yeah there's the Victoria too, which is pretty good and a nice atmosphere generally. Its also very close to Veritas, so you could go check both out.
