| Great result in the end but our defence needs to improve too many soft tries imo and Roby cut us to ribbons around the ptb.
On the upside we scored some good tries ourselves and i thought Buderus,Peacock and Bailey were immense for us a great 2 points but plenty to work on.

| The 2 first choice hookers were the best players on the field IMO.

| Pretty poor match by comparison with the previous clashes between the sides. Leeds were disjointed and were poor in their execution, Saints played the decisive half hour with every single one of our organising players missing. (Cunningham, Wilkin, Pryce, Eastmond).
The moment that decided the outcome was the incident where Pryce got injured. If Bailey get 10, which by the precedent set so often this season he should have, Saints would have been 8 points up against 12 men and the game would have died out. As it was he stays on, Pryce departs and it's Bailey that walks through a missed read from Moore and gets the offload out for the winner.
Pretty meaningless in terms of our season and no indication of how the Cup Semi final will go, unless the injuries to Pryce and Eastmond are serious.

They were seperate incidents. It was Buderus who tackled Pryce, nothing really in that one IMO. The Bailey one I agree should've been ten minutes is he's penalising him for a late challenge on the kicker. Poor decision.

Are you a Saints fan? Fantastic summary either way. You should be signed up on sky instead of that senile old pairing on thee at the moment.

I thought Bailey was penalised for a shoulder barge on a chaser from the kick not the kicker!

| Leeds defence will always be leaky whilst players like Webb, Burrow, Diskin are injured. I thought Ambler was brilliant in the first half. Bailey was immense in the 2nd. And JP is just the same old monster.
I thought it was a funny performance from Graham. He never seemed to want to take the ball forward and make the hard yards. Instead what he did do time and time again was the flat pass just before impact. Thats all well and good when it comes off, which it did very early on on a few occasions, but at times Saints really needed some solid graft and imo Graham wasn't interested. On the other hand when Leeds needed hard graft JP didnt half do the business. That imo made a big difference.

| For us Bailey, Buderus, Senior and Ambler stood out for me. Bailey may have taken close to a decade but he is finally starting to show some of his early potential. Not surprising though as most props don't hit any sort of form til they're pushing 30 and he's still 26. At least 6 good years ahead of him.

| Clarkson is looking good now, wasnt too sure when first saw him play. But starting to look pretty solid now, hope he dont go down the Danny Allen route though.

I don't remember him been involved late on and he was limping afterwards.

He won't, he's taken his chances very well I think and looks extremely solid in defence and goes forward well.
Ambler today was great, another one taking the chance he's been given. Good yards and some good hits.

You couldn't have it more wrong. Bailey had nothing to do with Pryce's injury which was just a freak accident. Neither did Bailey challenge the kicker (automatic sin binning) He obstructed the chase of the kick, in the opinion of the touch judge, he did not attack a defenseless kicker.
Otherwise, you've hit the nail on the head..................
Oh, and Bailey's obstruction was no worse than Wellens on Hall early doors that was a try scoring opportunity.

The ball steal when we had Saints totally on the rack brought them right back into it and the ridiculous attempted off load late in the game giving them that last posession were two dumb decisions by one of our more experienced players.
Great game though.
I now fully expect many of the fekkwitts to finally realise what TMFMISL is all about.

| Aren't you worried, though, that you only beat us by four points? We came in with six first choice players missing, lost our two main playmakers and a forward during the match, but could only put four on us? You should have hung, drawn and quartered us. We were easy meat once Pryce had gone off.

I agree and think it would have been a different match if your two half backs weren't injured, HOWEVER we had 7 first teamers out, Eastwood got injured, Kirke fell ill, and JJB played on when he also picked up a knock. Bailey was also iced up at the end.

Nope, not in the slightest. Why should I worry. The sun shone, I saw a good game and my team won. Why kind of idiot would find something to worry about with that scenario?
You will get better and get players back.
We will get better and get players back.
I think we all know that when it matters we respect you but we have nothing to worry about.

| Our defence was a little on the soft side leading up to half time, but the win was the aim and that's what we got
I think Saints looked more solid once that defensive liability Eastmond left the field

| I was very, very impressed with Ambler and Clarkson tonight. Clarkson's defence, especially in his 1st stint, was tremendous and Ambley looks very much the part.

| Chris Clarkson and Luke Ambler stood out for me, Luke with some great tackles, Chris with some great defending aswell as being in the right place for the try. Can only be good for their futures at Rhinos and hopefully their contracts get sorted out asap.

| First Leeds -Saints game I've seen in a while were there were so few penalties, no niggling, no punch up and players shaking hands at the end.
Both sides showed how brilliant they can be and at times how hopeless.
As has been said, must have been a good one for neutrals and was a good advert for Superleague.
