Try Assists: In a break with tradition Opta this week have gone for seven assists for the six Leeds tries.
For the opening try to Lauitiiti they have given an assist to both McGuire for the kick and Lauitiiti for the catch (and if that wasn't bonkers enough, completely ignored Leuluai's involvement altogether.)
The others went to:
Kevin Sinfield X2 - Jones-Buchanan and the second McGuire try
Ali Lauitiiti - Senior try
Keith Senior - McGuire's first
Danny McGuire - Delaney try
Top tackler - Delaney 35 with 1 miss. Top work over Easter for his defensive stats.
Error count moderate but an improvement on the Bradford game and the penalty count was shared.

| Great effort from Burgess and Bailey continues to impress. However, Kirke's stats are woeful for a big forward like him. We should look to bring in Pitts and drop Kirke imo.

| But for Kirke 21 tackles & no misses.
Could it be that the coaches see him as a tackler not a runner whereas Ambler (or Pitts when he plays) is the runner & not the tackler?

| Impressed with Bailey and Burgess recently.
Maybe they've benefitted from the fact they've got more responsibility with JP out. Either way, it's good to see!

Definitely, he's looking better this season. Fair play to him he's knuckled down in Peacock's absence and dug in. He could actually turn out to be a reasonable player if he continues the effort when JP is back instead of just allowing him to do it all for him and hiding in the centres like he usually does.
83 + 73 = 156 metres
26 + 18 = 44 tackles
James Graham V Wigan = 165 metres and 37 tackles.
Pretty similar, shows the improvement Bailey has made recently.

| Personally I think Kylie and Bailey should be dissapointed with themselves.
They are the senior props and their work rate compared to the subs is poor. 30% of the missed tackles came from those two.
Burgess made as many tackles as Bailey and Kylie put together.
Once again Delaney for the second match running as made more tackles than Senior and Hall put together on the left side. Same as against the Bulls. And some had the audacity to question him.

I bet there isn't a centre in super league with defensive stats to match him over easter, so they are getting their answer.
But I think it is more likely the oppossition coaches are questioning a different a player, around that area, or attacking to the left as we mainly do.

You think those stats back up your argument?
Bailey's had some good games this season tha would back up your argument, Monday's was not one on them on those stats.

You said somebody tried to convince you that Bailey was not a valuable asset to the team. Then said those stats back up your argument that he is.
Those stats do not back up your argument. There is plenty of games this season that do back up your argument, but Monday's is not one of them based on those stats.

You could argue that Bailey's average metres per yard was vastly improved on Monday.
So that backs up the Ginger One's point of him taking the ball up well.
That average was nicely boosted by his nice bust and break down the middle of the park.

The Ginger One's point was that those stats back up that Bailey is a valuable asset to the side.
Those stats actually give completely the oppossite impression. The missed tackles are not an asset, especially when in consideration of comparing the amount of tackles he made to one of the other props.
You also have to remember that Bailey's first stint was at a time where the whole of the Leeds side were going through the Catalans defence like a knife through butter. Easy yards to be made.
Other games this season would back up the point the Ginger one was making, not Monday.

.........in your opinion.
In my opinion watching his performances this season fully back up the Ginger Ones point. I don't need stats for that.
With one thing and another he's seems to be starting far more games (rather than on being on the bench) and is enjoying that reposnsibilty and is busy as in defence.

This was said referring to the stats from Monday. What Bailey's done previous to Monday is not backed up by Monday's stats. On Monday he was far far removed from a valuable asset, with stats that failed to back up the Ginger ones point.
