Everytime leeds drove the ball in (no matter how the tackle went) the ref was like ''SURRENDER SURRENDER SURRENDER'' and melbourne proceed to f*ck about for 8 seconds.

At one point in the 2nd half leeds dominated the collision and drove the ball carrier back, we were still going and the ref blasts ''HELD HELD HELD, MOVE MOVE MOVE''

Too much inconsistency.

The Ref didnt have a great game but he didnt drop the ball over the line 3 times or give away stupid penalties or play the ball incorrectly.

Sinfield just looked like he had a bad knock or maybe a possible dead leg. Delaney looked unfit and very wary when taking the ball into contact.

I watched it on tele, and you could see both sides were trying to exploit this ruling. Melbourne did exploit it more, but perhaps you should take your blue and yellow goggles off for a second before turning into a sore loser?

I'd say it was a great effort from melbourne with 6 key players missing, all being said was a cracking game, and no donald would not have scored those tries, watkins did well even to get close.

If I'm honest I thought Leeds would get snotted tonight after the season so far, you didn't. At the end, they were unlucky not to have won, you played bloody great considering Sinfield was off so early. I feel disappointed for you, but cannot, and will not accept Silverwoods handling of the game.
It was crap, inconsistant, at times biased and overall, shocking.

I hope whoever got hold of the RFL at half time gave it both barrels, and again after the game -it spoiled it for Leeds end of...

Indeed. Watkins will rue those missed chances, and Sinfield picking up than injury. Was too close to call till near the end, and I enjoyed the game. Would have had no problem congratulating either team on the win, since either would have deserved it for that defensive slogathon. FWIW I think Silverwood allowed them to lie on too much, but you lot normally have lying-on timed to perfection so I guess they applied your own tactics against you.

He should have penalised both sides much more earlier in the game to prevent the constant lying on.
However, that may have counted against us if the Storm PTB had been quicker but at least we'd have seen rugby & not something akin to constant Rugby Union rucks & mauls.

Maybe it needed a yellow card to either side to make them both take more notice?

Good Post. I havent really got a problem with the PTB ruling. We had enough chances to win it.

Great Game most people are overlooking the appalling conditions so both teams are to be congratulated on playing so well.

Losing Sinfield so early was a crucial aspect.

Have to agree with you. The slowing down the play of the ball needed to have been sorted out right from the start. I am just glad Leeds played well and did not get a stuffing.
