Wasn't seeking to draw a historical comparison, but a comment on Sky's coverage and their attitude to our club. During the period you refer to Wigan were, quite rightly, recognised in the media. we're the dominant team and, where Sky's pundits are concerned, we're not!

Leeds were spending as much as Wigan in that era and even tried to buy success by buying Wigan's proven stars (Hanley, Gregory, Goodway, Wane etc) but still couldn't beat Wigan. To say it was a different sport is just ridiculous.

Easily destroyed us in the first half? Seriously? You don't think it was the same game plan as last year, let them batter against us for half an hour not causing many problems and then show our class? Cause that's how it looked to me.

The video decision was wrong. Clearly wrong. However, I think you'll find that most Saints fans are complaining about our lack of attack options, which is what we have been complaining about for the last few months and which is what convinced most of us that we would be unlikely to win tonight (something you will also know if you have been reading posts by Saints fans, on here and on our own board). I'm not remotely surprised you won tonight because although we have some good forwards and we have a (generally) good defence, the closer we get to the tryline, the more likely it is that our brains dysfunction and we run out of ideas. With the exception of Eastmond, who was basically our attacking option tonight, as he has been for a few matches now. That's not to take anything away from your win, but you referred to our moaning and our moaning is mainly about our lack of attack options, not about that referee decision.
