I met him on a get together my dads mate organised a while ago in Korks Otley. Can’t too remember his name but I’m sure someone on here will. Probably a good thread to list down the people you recognise as well (G1 probably just about everyone ).

| It's 'big' Roy Dickinson ....
To be honest, Roy looks little different from his appearance in the '78 Cup Final !
Another top bloke with some great stories to tell

| Closest to the South Stand included :
Roy Dickinson - Forward sub for Leeds at Wembley in '78
Mick Harrison - Prop for Leeds in '78
Steve Pitchford - Lance Todd winner in '77
Also further along the line was :
Neil Fox - Wakefield great and holder of some phenominal scoring records himself.
Lewis Jones - Leeds legend and world record holder
David Ward - Leeds captain in '77 and '78 at Wembley
Harry Jepson - El Presidente
Stuart Duffy - Leeds fan and media guru at Odsal
Kevin Dick - Leeds scrum half for many years, sub at Wembley in '78 and a winner in '77
I'll have to watch the Sky Sports coverage again to get some more down.

I probably didn’t stay that long to hear them because me and my dad had a 40th to attend. Had a chat about Great Britain’s performances the day before (I think it was 2003).
Either way a top bloke like you said

| How could I forget Graham Eccles leading the line out, closest to the South Stand ?
Played for Leeds at Wembley twice in the 70s and runs the Social Club in the South Stand car park.

I’ve got to go now but if AdmiralHanson writes a left to right who’s who of the players then I’d be more than willing to put faces to each name when I come back so you can point him out. Unless someone else wants to..

| Nice to see Johnny Whiteley and Phil Lowe out on the pitch too.
Puts a little bit of faith back in the city of Hull.
Wardy was in tears when he came off.
Very humbling occasion.

| It was a very emotional moment, and one fitting as a send off for a great. As I said to one fellow fan last night, I don't know if Wardy was holding Harry Jepson up, or if it was the other way around.
It's the fact that our game creates such a cameraderie between players, as could be seen during the sad scenes like last night, that really make our game stand out from the crowd.
Not only should we be proud of John Holmes and his achievements, but last night demonstrated that, with the attendance of John's peers from other clubs, we should be proud of our whole game.

I know there was a Gary Price who played for us (under Ward I thought) but for some reason last night I thought it was the other one who was there. Now I think about it, it was the one who played for us.
I'll just go back to bed now and sleep off my confusion.

That was Gary Price the former York second-rower.
Gary H. Price played for Wakfield and Fev.
They played together in the same team at Featherstone, hence the Gary 'H'. Price.

Thus, wasn't it the GH Price that played for Leeds .... Moving on to Wakey / Fav after leaving Headingley ?

| Wayne Heron was one of my favourite players for Batley growing up, although he wasn't a patch on his brother. Loads of hard-work and a great tackler though.
We only managed to sign Dave from Bradford Northern when he was about 37, but he was still the best player on the pitch in most games he played for us.
There aren't many players around today that have even half the skill Dave possessed.
