Have you any idea how many tickets you have sold and how many are you likley to bring as its only £10 adults and £5 kids (without season tickets)

As far as I'm hearing from wigan fans, that Wigan can pay on the gate.. however, Leeds end is all ticket, so by that accounts I would say we could be filling the stand.

I hope you guys fill it and more would make a beltin atmosphere.

I'd be very surprised if we got anywhere close to filling it to be honest.

well the first 500 leeds fans got tickets for the bus for half price so that might bring a bit i just think the price may have been too good to resist for such a big match

To be honest mate I cannot see the club selling 500 tickets worth of travel - that's around about 10 coaches.

That stand holds 5,500. We will never fill it.

This £10 to Wigan? Does it include the inevitable 2hr wait to get out of the world's most stupidly designed car park or do we have to pay extra for that?

Dont park on the stadium there is an estate/roads accross from the red robin pub with ample parking and you can get away easy.

Will go if get the evening off work, but usally going to Wigan brings defeat, play off defeats, CC semi finals and many crushings by Wigan in the past. Not the happiest hunting ground apart from last year second game.

We are just trying to get bigger crowds which every team should be doing. The leeds game is a good game to do it for because they are on of the bigger clubs/teams and we already get big crowds against sainst and wire.

no real attempt at marketing from leeds imo. a bit of effort would not go a miss particularly as prices have gone up this year.

Really? I must have imagined all of those bus ads, billboards, radio ads, customer emails and ads in the YEP.

There are ways of marketing other than discounted tickets. Whilst it's not a bad idea from Wigan, reducing your tickets by a third means that you need to increase your crowds by a third to make it worthwhile in the short term - that's not an easy task.

i agree long term its not the best strategy. but it does get new fans through the door and improves the atmosphere

doing this once a season my attract any new fans who have come to see what its like to keep coming for future games at normal price

i remember seeing a lot of ads at the start of the season but not too much lately

There's also the issue of just how many reduced price tickets you can give away at Headingley these days with capacity reduced by the partial closure of the South Stand.

Only games you could maybe make it work for would be Catalans or Crusaders at home IMO, which are hardly massive drawcards, even on reduced prices.
