Anyone won thinks that Atkins could be a possible replacement for Senior needs to watch last nights game.

Young Atkins was made to look much the inferior against big Keef – granted he has the potential but as for a like-for-like replacement he’s way off the mark.

That's a bit harsh on Atkins. Anyone playing outside Brent Webb, Rob Burrow and Ali Lauitiiti would look goor doing forward. Keith is definitely rolling back the years, but Atkins is a better player than last night showed.

Just as when senior first joined many thought we'd bought a donkey not good enough to lace goddens boots.
Whoever eventually gets that 4 shirt has to be left alone to make their own mark on the team and judged on their own merits and efforts not keiths.

Speaking of Union, did you see Sonny Bill turn out for the Barbarians a while back? Interesting performance - looked a very average centre still not sure how to play the game. I know there's money to be had but to go from being a superstar in one sport, top of your game and pretty much hero worshipped by the fans, to average squad player under constant scrutiny and criticism playing for a second division French team? On top of that being told to f*** off by the club you were contracted to (who were busting the bank to pay you as it was). I don't think I would be keen.

I've read that his chairman of the french team he plays for isn't too happy about the return on his investment either.........F#*K HIM!!
With regards smithy i think he could make a go of it in union but i doubt he'll ever play for england whereas if he'd stayed in League he'd be a regular international imo.
I wish smithy well but like chev i feel he's ditching a promising career for more money in a game he'll never play at the top level.
