The Rhinos website is asking for team photos of the squads of years gone by, but I was wondering if some of our "more mature" members could name the people in this picture? I remember a few of them (Powell, Holmes, Ward, Dick, Creasser, Grothe, Eccles, Rayne, Hill), but there are lots that look familiar but I can't name.

So, who's who?



I recognise the hooker(?) sat next to Graham Eccles but can't remember his name (Trevor Something?) for the life of me...

It's not Barry Seabourne stood next to Roy Powell, not unless he's stood on a big box that is.

I think its Gary Stevens (Senior) he did a year or so as an assistant coach under Maurice Bamford during that spell IIRC.

He was the one who told the Hunslet Parkside Juniors coach that Jason Robinson was to small to play RL......

It was the 1984/85 season when Brett Kenny and Chicka Ferguson were at Wigan, Mal Meninga was at St Helens and Peter Sterling was at Hull. Good times, only not quite so good at Leeds but that was nothing new.

Because there was no salary cap in 1985 (so your squad could be as big as your overdraft would allow).

No such problems now etc.
