It never looked like it would work to me. Subscription was very high, and for very little content that was appealing for the majority viewer.

I do feel for clubs that have become dependant on the income.

The hardest bit is cancelling the bloody thing!! I tried for ages on the phone and was told I would have to write a letter!!

I never though in 2009 a cancellation process would involve writting a letter.

I seem to be the only person who has had no problem cancelling Setanta.

dosn't look good but they are back to two NRL matches a week +the footie show and origin matches.

Least I won't have to pay the 40 quid I've owed them for months!

I cancelled then got the offer to pay £3.33 which i took up as there were 2 Liverpool games coming up and England Quilifier, David Haye fight and the S.O.O. at the time the offer came through.

The only way to cancel Setanta is in writing which may have been a serious challenge to somebody who actually didn't cancel verbally!!

I changed my bank account and forgot about the direct debit for Setanta as I hadn't watched in ages. Setanta duly cancelled for me and wrote to tell me they'd done so. That was very straightforward! I can recommend it if you're having trouble.

Thats what I did. You don't pay them they will cancel you themselves!

Just cancel your direct debit - simple really - they will be on the phone offering you a better deal pretty sharpish

I get Setanta for free through Virgin Media.

No - i didnt ring to cancell - i sent an email to them and they cancelled straight away. a month after i had cancelled they sent me the offer and took it up

It may be good practical advice to cancel your direct debit but it may also put you in breach of contract.

RR is attempting to catch me out for lying about cancelling Setanta becasue i re-subscibed.

i subscribed a few week back for the Haye fight and the heavyweight title figh that was supposed to be last week!! Both cancelled and now this!!

I tell ya if i fell into a bucket of t*ts id come up sucking my thumb!!

Probably the safest option mate.

They don't cancel straight away after you inform them of cancellation they take 30 days notice from your next billing date, the £3.33 offer is offered to everyone who cancels in a desperate attempt to keep you.
