I thought this a post that I'd never have to write but we need to bring in one or maybe two quality signings or the next period in our history will look very bleak indeed.
This isn't a knee jerk reaction or a hark back to the pre-summer era but a valid point.
The writing was on the wall pre season and if anyone still believes we've got what it takes with what's available then please tell me how.

Unfortunately we were going in to the season one player down after Eastwood was denied entry in to the country.

Once we get a few injuries I dread to think what could happen to us, there is no strength in depth there.

toopi,scruton,ellis and tansey have not been replaced. i don't blame the club over eastwood but the squad is obviously light

I don't think anything can freshen Bluey up, I wasn't convinced by him last season and think the Tony Smith factor got Leeds through when beating Saints in the final, his style of management is very short term which is perhaps why he was successful during his short comp stint with New Zealand (with an exceptional side lead by Wiki).

In terms of new players then yes, I think if they are the right players they can boost a team and take some of the pressure off key personnel, I am also a great believer in competition for places , something which Leeds are very short of.

i agree we have watkins and gibson when he is fit to play in the centres yet these are the sort of games they should be playing to get experience senior has been playing awful for a couple of seasons now having 1 or 2 decent games thnk signing a world class international will help develop our young centres

Leeds were poor in 2006 but at least with Smith you knew what he was trying to do, whether right or wrong.

It doesnt help losing 6 players and only getting 1 danny B its a shame about eastwood but with the posabilaty of another player leving to go play union lee smith the squad is small so the players playing are getting lazy because theres no one to chalenge there positions we deffantly need to get 2 good centres senior has dun leeds prowed in the centres but hes got slow and needs to play in the pack for the rest of his contract
