I'm travelling to Warrington to the match tomorrow by car and was just wondering if anyone had any information on car parking at the stadium.

We normally go straight past the stadium and turn right at the roudabout at the bottom of the rd there's a retail park there mate and it's usually free on a sunday.

IIRC they were clamping cars parked on a retail complex the other year.

I didn't go last year but every other time we've parked there mate.

Ahhh no mate it's straight past the HJ to the bottom of the rd under the bridge turn right there it's a big retail park with argos and currys etc!!

There is a car park next to a pub called three piegons its across from stadium is only £2 to park on there.

Spot on there mate and it is indeed free on a Sundays, you will be fine.

Whatever you do don't park on Tesco or the small retail park (School Brow) opposite the Lord Rodney pub, you will be clamped, riverside retail park is to far away so don't park there either. Do they still have the park and ride, I think it was based at a college last time we were there?

Plus, there's the one around the back of McDonalds, not sure about clamping/tickets in there though.

Yes they do have park and ride, that's what Ive mentioned in my last post, don't bother with McDonald's.

Avoid Tesco's (in general and at Warrington, I've had a ticket before despite actually shopping there!). We ended up outside some dodgy looking snooker place last year, no problems though.

As for the other suggestions:

Tesco - If you like to pay large fines, go for it


Wickes (across the road from the stadium) - See Tesco

Golden Square - Lots of room, 5 minute walk from the ground

Tanners Lane NCP - Best of the car parks in the vicinity of the stadium, cheap, safe and right next door to most of the pre-match pubs (I don't condone drinking and driving)

Cockhedge - Details are sketchy on this one, free parking may only apply to those spending more than £5 in Asda, which is defeating the object really.

Parking is completely free on Sunday's, as i said before

That's why I said maybe, I know that used to be the case though, so was giving people a possible heads up in the event it was still like that.

Plus you said it was free, so it's almost certain not to be the case
