Can Queens be the first team out of the NCL to get their hands on the National Cup?

After away wins and physicaly dominating top Lancashire teams such as Bank Quay Bulls, Halton Simms Cross, Widnes St Maries and now Wigan St Judes who would bet againgst them?

I think you have read this wrong ( Mind you it wasn't clear ). I think Headingley meant a team that is NOT in the NCL could win the cup this year.

Queens have been awesome this Season in both the National & Challenge Cup. If you ask any team we have played in those competitions they will say hard but fair. I only ask for a couple of home fixtures and we will be a match for anyone left in the National Cup.

Are Queens trying to come out of the Yorkshire league to join the Pennine league ?

If they do then the Yorkshire League may as well become a Sunday league.

I've seen a few bits about a proposed new Yorkshire league with the top twelve non-NCL teams in the county. That would be an interesting development. The likes of Queens can't enjoy winning by 60 points every week.

Yes that would interesting to see them up against some of the sides in that league

Results like that one make you wonder why they can't just get on with playing rugby, which they're clearly pretty good at. It seems they can't stop themselves being dirty though. "Hard but fair" is not the assessment of anybody I've spoken to or heard from after playing Queens, let alone a majority. I suspect that's why they're stuck playing at a level well below their abilities. Might be wrong, but that's what seems to be happening, to an outsider.

I think you are looking at and hearing from people talking about past Queens sides, I asked for comments from the teams we have played in those 2 particular competitions this year not our previous history.

Come on get behind a great Leeds team and see them march on to the National final.

If things have changed, fair enough. It was only what I'd heard, not personal experience. If you're doing it by playing rugby rather than by intimidation, then the very best of luck to you and I hope you go a long way in the tournament.

Queens have played sides this year ( Birkenshaw to name 1 ) and roughed them up big time, Some individuals on Pennine site crapping themselves incase they get in . If its down to a vote of clubs I dont hold out much hope for them, My experience of playing Queens many years ago were good ones and game played in good spirits so I wont slag them .

I think all Queens need is quality opponents as this brings the best out of them. As someone said earlier it is not much fun winning by 60 points. I look forward to a day when they are playing quality teams week in week out.

Challenge Cup. I wonder If Doncaster will want a ground change. I don't suppose they will fancy playing at Bus Vale!!

What do people think have Queens a chance?

Get em down to Bus Vale in them crappy changing rooms/porta cabins give em a good hiding then take em back to the lovely club of yours and treat them to deep fried sausage,chips with the nasty cheap ketchup which you poor in to old heinz bottles.

As we won't get any of the gate money at Doncaster It Is most likely to be played here at our place.

Does the Challenge Cup have minimum ground standards once the pro clubs get involved, e.g. seats, turnstiles, disabled access etc?
