Smith 8 MOM- Took his tries well, good performance again.
Donald 7 - Great finish, didn't get much ball though.
Watkins - 7 - What a pass and some good steps, although some inexperienced moments is obvious.
Senior 6 - Made a good dummy for the try, few good carries.
Hall 7 - Good positioning, looks to be gaining confidence and a well taken try
Sinfield 7 - Good kicking game, controlled the game well
McGuire 7 - Same as above
Leulaui 6 - Solid performance
Diskin 8 - When he was on in the 1st half we looked very dangerous.
Peacock 6 - Solid as always, although the sin binning put wasn't needed
JJB 7 - Great break, good offloading.
Ali 7 - Good offloads, solid.
Ablett 7 - Well taken try, great carries

McShane 6 - Did nothing wrong, but nothing that stood out either
Allan 5 - Only on for 5 minutes as far as I saw
Burgess 5 - Good carries, didn't see too much of him
Kirke 6 - Good performance, nothing stood out but nothing wrong.

For the first game of the season it was solid,some good moments and plenty to work on .

Never mind that... how did Senior and Peacock (especially) only get 6's? Plus Burgess a 5?? He got through a tonne of work in that game. Ran hard and hit harder. I think Rhino77 pressed his Sky+ by accident and watched the Quins game from last summer

Leuluai was your best forward by a billion miles, the bloke is a wrecking ball. He's improved immensely during his stay over here, I actually think he doesn't get the plaudits he deserves.

Senior was better than a 6. He made loads of yards down that side and his defence was solid as usual.

Not impressed with senior at all last night. watkins was lively and looking forward to seeing what he can do in the season. Smithy was solid, Hall no complaints,Donald good try solid performance, Sinfield No complaints, Mcguire few shaky moments early on but found his feet, Kylie impressive powerful display, Diskin No complaints, Peacock Nice PUNCH, JJB some good runs solid as usual, Ali his usual self exciting to watch, Ablett just glad to see him not at centre, Kirke no comlaints, Allen out of depth, Mcshane lively, Burgess No complaints.

He gave him a 7 because he is Danny McGuire, some people think he is perfect. They only notice when he is doing usual supporting the runner, they often miss the poor decision making he makes quite often in defence.

Whereas you appear to have failed to notice how instrumental he was in creating our opening try. He made a couple of errors, was rusty but was still our mean creative force and looked dangerous with ball in hand.

I wouldn't go that far vinny.


He is in my opinion a lot more than just a support player or a try poacher.
He creates a lot of doubt within the defence and is more creative than people give him credit for,ok he made a couple of errors early on but afterall it is his first game,the start of a season and he did a lot more than make a couple of mistakes.

What I thought it could have been was a sneaky tactic by Bryant to try and win the scrum against the head by holding Peacock.

when he came off he was still keyed up he never sat down ,someone must have been really winding him up

When the initial wrestling starts as they face up peek put his hand in peacocks face to shove him and before he knew it it was windmill season


As a side note having watched the game on sky there are little niggles throughout the game between peacock,peek,bryant and discko.

IIRC it was our head and feed at the scrum so as open side prop Peacock was entitled to the outside head and arm.
