I am in full agreement with Brian McClennan that the match review panel should look at the incident at the end of tonights match. The vicious assault by George Carmont on Danny McGuire was disgraceful!!! I mean you'd think that with seconds to go he'd be backing up Pat Richards to potentially score the winning try, rather than deliberately thrusting his back into the hand of Danny "I've never done anything wrong in my life" McGuire!

When the match review panel does look at this incident on the request of Mr McClennan, I do hope they take firm action! I suggest banning the aforementioned Mr McClennan from ever being interviewed as he seems to have difficulty stringing together a coherant sentance.

Surprised McClennan commented on the incident when he clearly didn't have a clue what actually happened. He was insinuating that Maguire had been the victim of foul play.

Hopefully the injury will prove not to be as bad as it looked on tv, because it was a needless piece of foul play from Maguire.

McGuire's injury wasn't from the 'tackle' on Carmont - it was after when Carmont stood on McGuires leg. The Sky team was too busy showing reruns of the Richards/Donald incident when it happened.

Well from the replays I have seen, Maguire is clutching his leg immediately after trying to impede Carmont. Riddell runs over afterwards and shouts down at him, but there was no evidence of a stamp by Riddell.

Sorry for the typo!!! Doesn't change the fact that McGuires injury was not caused by foul play on Wigans part. The replays clearly show Carmont on the floor (therefore not able to stand on his leg). Yes a wigan player does run up to McGuire to remonstrate with him but it is clear to most impartial observers that McGuire was already displaying signs of injury. His injury came as a direct result of him cheating!

I also take to task anyone who claims that salford's season ended last week. Our season ended some time in April when we got knocked out of the Challenge Cup following a 36 hour coach ride to Catalan due to the ash cloud!!! Just because I support a poor team does this mean I have no knowledge of the game or when the final whistle blew at the Willows last week I should have cancelled my Sky subscription. If the Grand Final was attended only by those supporters of the 2 teams in it I suggest we don't need a 75,000 capacity stadium!!!
