I am taking my 9 year old daughter to her first Grand Final, and pre match bands are important (so I'm told)..does anyone know what the pre match entertainment will be on Saturday.
I have seen nothing on RFL websites.

Bernard Cribbins will be leading the community singing alongside the band of the Coldstream Guards.

There would be "Ilkla Moor bar t'at" followed by "She's a Lassie from Lancashire" ... and only the old people in the crowd would sing along, all the while Bernard would try and look interested thinking "I haven't been up north for forty fekkin years why do they pick me for this job every year"

Wombats Set to Rock Old Trafford


Top Indie rock band The Wombats will headline the pre-match entertainment at the 2009 engage Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Saturday October 10.



The Liverpool-based trio, who were last year named ‘Best Dancefloor Fillers’ at the prestigious NME Awards, will perform hits from their best-selling album A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation.



Appearing alongside The Wombats will be All Angels, the best-selling classical-pop crossover group who are fresh from supporting soprano Katherine Jenkins on her UK tour.
