Squads are normally Weds lunchtime for a Friday kick off. Should be a good game though and I'm looking forward to seeing this backline in full action. I think if they haven't got eyes ahead of Friday we will win by about 10.

Interesting to see BJB out of the reckoning compeltely. Smith must have really knuckled down in the off season, or BJB has done the opposite.
I'd start with Griffin, and use Kylie more for impact really. Even without Hood, Kirke & BJB in the 19, its hard to see who should miss out, which shows our strength really.

Has Kylie impressed pre season? I have heard good things about Moore and Griffin. Obviously JP and Bailey will be 2 of the 4 props, so it looks like 2 from 3 for the bench spots.

I like the decision. Shows that McDermott is willing to reward hard workers and has no favourites.

BJB is young enough and talented enough I expect he'll be back in the frame soon enough, not a sentiment I can share about other certain players thankfully left out of the 19.

To be fair on talent and pre-season showings its fair. I wouldn't have Kirke in my best 19 man squad either. Its up to him to prove himself, and as we have previously discussed, being happy doing 25 mins a game whilst JP rests is not enough, with Griffin and Moore both able to add something in BOTH attack and defense, and able to do it for longer periods

Sqaud looks strong should be a good game

Bit concerned about the weather forecast -7 at night.

Either Moore or Leuluai and either Hauraki or Clarkson to miss out.
