What's the story here? Nothing mentioned about injuries or anything, but not played in any of the preseason games, and now out for Friday.

Giving him a long rest? Good to see Eastwood in the squad.

McClennan probably looked at it and thought it was a game we could win without our main prop so choosing to give him as long a rest as possible.

Sinny's got him dropped due to an altercation in training.

Good to see the captain weeding out the bad wood for the new season.

He is finally getting the rest he needs. If he can be saved for the larger games then he will have a bigger impact that normal.

id be interested in knowing whether a rest at the start of the season is more beneficial than a rest mid seaon. lets hope he gets a few of those too

It's a good thing for RL. Hopefully this might limit the score to 60. You should have rested Burrow, McGuire, Sinfield and Webb as well.

i can see him getting plenty of rest this season. i think bluey would have done the same last season had he had the same squad

There was no explanation as to why he did not play in Diskin's testimonial, and now no explanation this week as to maybe missing this Friday, or nothing now it is confirmed.

Probably just the rest, but surely the club could say something?

I would of thought we would need him more for Cas next week, give him an extra week's rest. He will be chomping at the bit come Next Friday

As it happens I see sporting life have now picked up on Peacock missing, and put it down to "not yet fit enough", which I would presume fits in with the rest theory more than anything. Which is absolutely fine, I just don't get why the club have not said anything, bearing in mind they have commented continually about Eastwood, and the fact that Bailey would have a late test, etc.

As for the rest issue though, I think there probably is an injury somewhere, otherwise I think he would have played the testimonial.

Braford aren't playing Cas next week, Leeds are.

It is a bit strange that their is no mention what so ever. On the Rhinos site they usually at least mention any absentee's.

If he is been rested then I applaud Bluey. Great idea.

I would agre that it is a good idea to rest him but thought either Disko`s testimonial or Crusaders game to get him up to pace.
For me there must be an injury otherwise he would be playing.

You and your like moaned all last year that the club had no depth. Now we do and we're using it very wisely. Peacock had a shortened off season because of the 4 nations.

JP looked jaded in the internationals. So an extended break before a long season seems logical to me. Everyone keeps mentioning the strength and depth we have - so let's use it.

Asking what the score was with Peacock is fine. Pissing and whining that you're not being told by the club is daft. I can see why you would get defensive about me pointing out your daftness but I thought you'd be used to it by now.
