not sure he was the best striker and finisher but he is immensely talented. he's never found a proper position but I wish him every success at hull.

Or he just wasn`t good enough hence why they didn`t select him. The odd 10 minutes he was given he was underwhelming for sure. Again was that down to the lack of minutes or he isn`t that good?

Geldhart's issue at Leeds is/was that he's never fit the tactical systems of the managers we've had. He's not athletic enough to play as a lone 9, which also means he isn't that effective in a high press, and can't really be effective as a winger either. He's a 2nd striker or wide 10 in a narrow tactical set up. There's not many managers who play those types of systems anymore.

yes I'd agree with that. he's the type you build a side around and that doesn't happen nowadays

Gerd Muller scored 68: goals in only 62 games for West Germany but wouldn’t get anywhere near the team nowadays. Same for Toto Schilacci in Italy. Geldhart is a throwback to a good old fashioned centre forward who does all his best work in the box, but those type of players are now obsolete.
