| not sure he was the best striker and finisher but he is immensely talented.
he's never found a proper position but I wish him every success at hull.

Yeh that did cross my mind Tad and depending on how you look at it you could say they were both stubborn barstewards and wouldn`t budge.
Or he just wasn`t good enough hence why they didn`t select him.
The odd 10 minutes he was given he was underwhelming for sure.
Again was that down to the lack of minutes or he isn`t that good?

| Geldhart's issue at Leeds is/was that he's never fit the tactical systems of the managers we've had. He's not athletic enough to play as a lone 9, which also means he isn't that effective in a high press, and can't really be effective as a winger either.
He's a 2nd striker or wide 10 in a narrow tactical set up. There's not many managers who play those types of systems anymore.

Exactly. Gerd Muller scored 68: goals in only 62 games for West Germany but wouldn’t get anywhere near the team nowadays. Same for Toto Schilacci in Italy. Geldhart is a throwback to a good old fashioned centre forward who does all his best work in the box, but those type of players are now obsolete.
