| Ive never met Rob Burrow but I have to admit, it made me cry, I've been a hugr fan of RL for many a year, I used to dread it when my team (Huddersfield Giants) played Rhinos, with the likes of Sinfield, McGuire, Senior & Burrows came to town
The No7 was 4 foot nothing, and an absolute joy to watch, his runs from dummy half, picking the ball up 1 handed put teams instantly on the back foot, he played the game how it should be played, he played like a 7 foot giant, he got stuck in, wasn't scared to tackle those prop forwards at 18 stone plus, he wore his heart on his sleeve.
I don't like to throw the word "Legend" around easy but this lil player was, the game has lost a an all time great, a legend of the game & will be sorely missed.
Thank you for the memories, one I'm sure those in RL will cherish over a number of years.
My thoughts are with his Wife, kids, family & friends - especially Kevin Sinfield who was not only his team mate but his best friend.
Good night #7 God bless you.
RIP Rob Burrow.

Rugby League to pay homage to Rob Burrow CBE at Wembley Saturday’s Betfred Challenge Cup Final between Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors will kick off at 307pm, as Rugby League celebrates the life of Rob Burrow CBE – the former Leeds Rhinos, England and Great Britain scrum half who wore the number 7 jersey with such courage and distinction throughout his playing career. Following Burrow’s death at the age of 41 last Sunday, supporters will be able to leave tributes at the Rugby League Statue outside Wembley Stadium from 945am on Saturday morning – offering the opportunity to fans of all clubs to show their appreciation and admiration for his courage and humanity, as so many Leeds devotees have done already at AMT Headingley. There will be further chances to demonstrate that affection with the Wembley crowd invited to join in one minute’s applause after 7 minutes of each of the four Finals on Rugby League’s traditional showpiece occasion – starting with the inspiresport Champion Schools Final in the morning, followed by the second Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final to have been played at Wembley, which features Burrow’s beloved Leeds Rhinos taking on the holders, St Helens. | Rob Burrow 100% Rhino we know that.
As a Hull KR fan I remember before our SL days being drawn away to you lot in the CC and obviously having no chance whatsoever. But hey we got to the 60 minute mark not so far behind ...... then this young livewire Burrow came off the bench and ran us absolutely ragged.
That was my first recollection of the player Rob Burrow.
Hull Kingston Rovers will be wearing special tribute Rob Burrow warm up shirts in their away fixture at Headingley
